Canada Free Press ^ | 07/18/14 | Arnold Ahlert

Posted on 07/17/2014 6:21:46 AM PDT by Sean_Anthony

The picture opens with a what-if scenario that includes the assassination of George Washington by a British sniper, and the subsequent disintegration of Mount Rushmore, the Lincoln Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and the Statue of Liberty, as D’Souza asks, “What would the world look like if America did not exist?”

Considering the name of the movie’s title (America: Imagine a World Without Her), some liberals must’ve walked away disappointed having expected to see exactly that.

Liberals who created this country are the opposite of liberals today who want to return this country to a monarchy and elimination of the middle class

“What would the world look like if America did not exist?”

Like Europe up until the Renaissance. bleak, diseased and hopeless.

Saw the film.

Great, but I didn’t see anyone in the audience under the age of 60.

I saw this movie last night.

I learned a few things:
- white indentured servants were as common as slaves in the 1700s. Much of this was involuntary (white slavery).
- free blacks holding slaves was somewhat common
- Saul Alinsky had a significnt Chicago mob connection.

A very good movie.

The title, America: Imagine the World Without Her is misleading--I was expecting a Bedford Falls/Pottersville--style contrast as in It's a Wonderful Life.

I hope that this new film gets more wide spread than Denver.

The use of the word “liberal” in Road to Serfdom was a cognitive dissonance nightmare...

Read a review from a lib the other night where he was disappointed because it didn’t show the utopian world he imagined without America.

DVD release?

I received word from Lionsgate that the DVD release will be sometime in October. They can't provide a more specific date while it's still showing in the theaters.

I can’t find a source for where it’s currently playing or will be in the future.

According to Fandango, it’s not playing anywhere...

Help, anyone?

We Bing-searched “theaters zip code 92260 (ours): and found links to the theaters, with what was showing.

The great majority of libs are probably like my three lib sisters who vote for Democrats because they're pro-abortion. They love all the benefits of capitalism. Two worked for a major corporation for many years allowing them to have total wealth over a million dollars something they could have only dreamed of growing up poor to lower-middle class in the fifties and sixties. All thanks to evil, white males (my sisters love to castigate) who created the corporations that made my sisters wealthy.

They have a belief common to many Dem voters that the economy and good things just happen to exist. Like most Dems, they have no understanding of how wealth is created. They are easily led by leftist Dem pols who keep wedge issues alive. i.e the Republican "war" on women. They gladly vote for people who would like to take their money away from them to turn the country into Western Sweden or Northern Mexico.
