What is this but a form of insanity? In the words of the late (great) F.J. Sheed: "..if we see anything - ourself or some other man, or the Universe as a whole or any part of it - without at the same time seeing God holding it there, then we are seeing it all wrong. Oops.

“Pope Francis has thanked those who seek to,”..recover man[kind], restoring him to the centre of reflection and the centre of life. ‘He is the king of the universe’! he exclaimed. ‘And this is not theology, it is philosophy and human reality.’”
Oh, my!

Sounds like a pretty good paraphrasing of the serpent’s conversation with Eve.

I thought Christ was the center and the king. Every day this Pope jumps the shark.

I wouldn’t read too much into his choice of words.

Note to Pope Francis:
1. God created Man (male and female) in His image hand gave them dominion over the Earth.
2. But Man was a flawed being and fell from His grace due to Satan's lies.
3. God sent his son to die for Man's sins so that Man could be redeemed.
4. Because Man is flawed (see original sin), he cannot be perfect nor achieve perfection. Man can never become the center of the universe because that substitutes Man for God.
I am not a Catholic, but Pope Francis is really beginning to OFFEND me by his humanistic, socialist dreck. I think Pope Benedict needs to make a comeback.

The pope needs to resign and go to one of those nutty atheist “churches”...or run for senator in Nevada or California so that he can be with his kind.

we - who we are as persons, and who we are collectively, are never, even at our best, any more than and only possibly, some mere point of reflection of the center of the Universe - G-d, IF G-d is shining through us, and that is only and always dependent on our relationship with the center of the Universe - G-d, and NOT by virtue of our mere existence
let’s hope what was reported is another “misinterpretation” of something the Roman Catholic Pope said
