Congresswoman Says It’s Time to Stop Whining about Canceled Health Insurance
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 1 August 2014 | John Semmens

Posted on 08/03/2014 10:54:34 AM PDT by John Semmens

Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif) says she is “tired of hearing pathetic stories from people who have been forced to find new insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act. The ACA has eliminated substandard insurance policies and guaranteed that every American will obtain superior coverage.”

“Rather than be grateful that the Government is looking out for their best interests a cadre of complainers are whining that the new plans cost more than their old plans,” Eshoo complained. “Well, duh. These new plans cover more stuff. A lot of the old plans didn’t cover a number of birth control options. Virtually none of them covered sex-change surgery. To get more you’ve got to expect to pay more.”

“Religious fanatics who assert that they have no need for these added coverages are putting their selfish and deluded views ahead of what the legislation has determined is in the best interest of the nation as a whole,” Eshoo contended. “I have no sympathy for their individualistic and egocentric demands.”

Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La) whose proposed bill authorizing insurers to continue selling ACA non-compliant policies to willing buyers inspired Eschoo’s rant called her remarks “as a clear demonstration of the smirking arrogance that characterizes the thinking of so many proponents of Big Government.”

OK, I’m trying to find the satire in this one. I figure that the sex-change surgery is in one of the unread pages or one of those regulation that goes “The Secretary shall determine ...”

When you and the rest of Congress and government employees go on Obamacare and stop getting a taxpayer supported privileged system then I might listen to you complain.

Until then, I pay the salary, health care costs and other benefits for her and her pathetic colleagues.

Coverage for things you don’t need is not bett coverage. It’s superfluous coverage at excessive cost...AKA mandated waste.

When this government starts looking out for our best interests, it’s time to duck and hide. Not putting these politicians in the loony bin is a bad idea. We aren’t safe with them on the loose.

Precisely. Thank you, Rep. Cassidy.

The serfs are not showing the proper deference to Godverment. They must pay for their insolence.

I and my family are one of those “pathetic” people she’s speaking of. I really don’t appreciate her mockery.

And yet on every single issue the liberal rats trot out a dizzying series of pathetic stories trying to sway emotions and public opinion. Hurts when you’re on the other end, doesn’t it.
