Outstanding historical column/McDaniel-Cochran MS PING
1) LBJ was a dirty, corrupt, power-hungry monster.
2) Robert A. Caro idolized LBJ and thinks he was an amazing, wonderful guy.
3) Robert A. Caro felt even more positively about JFK and considered him virtually a god who walked on water.
4) Robert A. Caro thought RFK was a mean-spirited, power-hungry monster, much more extreme than LBJ -- and probably the most stunningly fabulous human to ever walk the earth.
The legal team for the Chris Daniels campaign should be drawn and quartered.... Dufus Law Firm
Johnson was a very bad guy.
What could they have done better? They did what they could do, but you have very little chance when a judge is committed to ruling against you, regardless of the merits of the case or the precedent, which should not have applied here.
Murderous Johnson. Not just Lyin Lyndon.
Some interesting reads on the event if you can find them,
Fall of the Duke of DuVal
The Duke of Duval: The Life and Times of George B. Parr

Yep!
Thanks!
LBJ is really a sleeze. He really started the Democrats tradition of voter fraud - 99% for LBJ?
BTTT!
this is something one never hears about the great LBJ.
Found out quite by accident what a racist Woodrow Wilson was.
No surprise both are Democrats who the media slavishly adore with positive stories.
A real bio-movie mentioning all his crimes and adultery on LBJ would be more riveting than the faux bio-movie done about Reagan.
Us Mississippi Conservatives have a tough set of choices this November:
- Vote for Thad and become complicit in the betrayal to try to ensure the Senate seat doesn't go Democrat (not much difference between Thad and the Dim - the Dim has some traits that are better than Thads)
- Not vote for Thad or the Dim
- Vote for the Dim to try to ensure Thad loses and the corrupt machine gets the message (They'll probably ignore the message and gripe about the "fickle" voters)
- Write in McDaniel (feel good but pretty much a useless gesture)
I'm seriously considering voting for the Dim which goes against every grain that makes me me.
Yes, that’s a very difficult choice, and I’m still torn over what I will do. The only certainty is that I will NEVER vote for Thad Cochran—EVER!!!
You’re welcome, Houeto! Great column!
I’m going to write in McDaniel, I know it won’t be counted but it will register as a NO vote, the difference in those voting and not voting in the Senate race. If enough do it the numbers will get out and a statement will be made.
“Here’s the LBJ bio in paperback book form: A Texan Looks at Lyndon: A Study in Illegitimate Power, by J. Evetts Haley, 1964”
I read it and first time voted in 1964, I Voted for Senator Goldwater and have never missed an election or voted for democrat.
If I still lived in Mississippi, my vote for Senator this year would go for Travis Childers. He is the more honest of the two.
