If you aren’t familiar with the name Kamala Harris, you should be. The LA Times describes the California Attorney General thusly: “Aty. Gen. Kamala Harris is a veteran prosecutor, a skilled political leader and a promising politician who is sure to figure in California’s future.” She’s been called a “female Barack Obama” and she’s just as far-left as you might imagine.

Isn’t she the one President Obama called “The Best-Looking AG in the United States”?

I would expect Michelle to have an opinion on this one.

From Wikipedia

Harris is the first female,[4] the first African-American,[5][6][7][8][9] and the first Asian-American attorney general in California

Harris has been a vocal proponent for gun control her entire career. While serving as District Attorney in Alameda County Harris recruited other District Attorneys and filed an amicus brief in District of Columbia v. Heller, arguing that the Second Amendment does not protect an individual’s right to own firearms.[36] Harris also supported San Francisco’s proposition H, which would have prohibited most firearms within city limits.[37]

Harris is opposed to the death penalty but has said that she would review each case individually.[43] Her position was tested in April 2004, when SFPD Officer Isaac Espinoza was murdered in the Bayview district. Harris announced that she would not seek the death penalty for the man accused of his killing. The decision evoked protests from the San Francisco Police Officers Association,

Harris created a special Hate Crimes Unit as San Francisco District Attorney. She focused on hate crimes against LGBT children and teens in schools. She convened a national conference to confront the “gay-transgender panic defense”, which has been used to justify violent hate crimes.[56] Harris supports same-sex marriage in California and opposed both Proposition 22 and Proposition 8.[57]

IOW, what’s not to like (from Obama’s shoes)?

She’s ‘eminently qualified’ and chosen by the president, so Repubicans will put on a show then rubber stamp as always.

It would be a grave insult to Michelle if Barack brought this very attractive woman into his inner circle.

Reid can push confirmation through without any Republican votes before the end of the year.

We can expect a flood of far left wing appointments to be confirmed by the Democrat Senate shortly aFter the November elections.

The ultra-radical values Kamala Harris would bring to the DOJ, can be foreseen by her below statement:
"Let's also talk about creating a campaign around reducing not the crime but the fear of crime...Let's talk about that. If we, as a goal, decide that we want more people to just stop being afraid, because they're perhaps afraid of much more than they have reason to be afraid of, perhaps we can start to change the discussion about what we need to do about fear because we won't have so many people worried about the bogeyman."

Yes, the leftwing radical that was San Francisco's DA and California's & Jerry Brown's AG thinks that Law Enforcement's job should not be reducing crime but reducing the fear of crime!

She's the perfect 2nd act to Eric "Grand Wizard" Holder & his black Klan at the DOJ.

I am, as a matter of routine, going to start voting for the uglier candidate in all elections, unless I have a real good reason to do otherwise.

One recent trend is that attractive people are winning more and more contests based on their looks alone. But being pretty has nothing to do with being a good public office holder.

Since being good looking is probably worth a good ten points in the polls, I will support the uglier candidate, if only to balance the scales.

Harris would be a three-fer.

She may be hoping for a Supreme Court appointment in the future. Getting her name attached to a bunch of scandals in Obama's last two years (there are bound to be new ones in the time remaining) might make for a messy confirmation hearing if she was later put up for the Supreme Court.
