Reds, Whites and Serbdom: Why Chetnik Flags Should be in the Belgrade Liberation Parade
Reiss Institute ^ | October 8, 2014 | Boris Aleksic/Nebojsa Malic (translator)

General Draza Mihailovich WWII

The 70th anniversary of Belgrade’s liberation in WW2, will be marked by a military parade. After a 29-year hiatus, some 3,000 members of the Serbian Army will parade on October 16. Also scheduled is the appearance of the Russian acrobatics group “Strizhi”, flying the newest MiG-29 fighters.

The celebration will be graced by the presence of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, a symbol of Russia’s rebirth. Putin’s visit to Serbia is a clear signal to both Serbian citizens and the West. During their aggression against the Serbs in the 1990s, Washington and Brussels have exterminated the Serbs of Krajina and parts of Bosnia, Kosovo and Metohija. That southern Serbian province is under NATO occupation, run by a puppet Albanian regime composed of terrorists, drug-dealers and organ traders. Even the Serbian capital has been under Western occupation of sorts for years. Demands and impositions by the USA and the EU are getting more brazen and increasingly unbearable.

Putin’s arrival in Belgrade – on the day of liberation no less – represents a clear signal to both the Serbs and the world that a free and united Serbdom is possible even today. Furious at this, Washington and Brussels – falsely presenting themselves as the “international community” – say they will “watch closely” Putin’s visit to Belgrade. After all, the US and EU have invested so much effort in resurrecting fascism in Europe, from Zagreb and Priština to Kiev, to let the Russians and Serbs spoil their plans. Under the mask of democracy, Berlin has succeeded in almost entirely reversing the results of WW2 in the Balkans, fulfilling the dreams of Hitler and Pavelić; hence they and their White House mentors fear losing all that (as once before) to a Russian counterattack...

Good to see you Ravnagora, stand by for grief from the Russophobes, you should know there are no more Nazis in Europe.

Or Islamic terrorists, for that matter.

Thanks Navy Patriot!

Of course there are no more Nazis in Europe, especially in Ukraine.

And no Islamic terrorists anywhere.

In my humble opinion, it’s the Orthodox Russians who are the only real hope for saving Christianity on that side of the world.

I am looking for a coalition of Western Christians, and Slavic Christians, but a lot of the Western Christians will have to get over themselves and start thinking like Crusaders.

Exactly. Western Christians can no longer afford to be “passive”.

An excellent article that sheds more light on the US (and Churchill's) support and installation of Tito while knifing General Mihailovic in the back after heroic Serbian support and rescue of American airmen in WWII.

Further, it adds explanation to the Clinton reactivation of the DemoRat elite plan to loot Russia and the former Soviet states using Boris Yeltsin, following the dismantling of the USSR.

I personally don’t believe that the union is somehow possible anymore. Starting from very long time ago containing Russia was a major objective of British foreign policy and at the end of WWII Churchill has managed to bring it to the US as far as his empire has crashed and was up to task no more.
Recent history shows that even the most butt-kissing pro-Western foreign policy (as far as being compliant in domestic policy) can’t change the Western attitude but actually breaks ground for further attacks.
It probably has cultural aspect because if you would think into Orthodoxy it is well in conflict with many Western values - I have no idea if it is behind a perpetual attack on Russia.
On the other hand it would be fun to see a recent Kosovar leadership hanging from the tree for a Christmas decoration. You barely can find a more deserving bunch. I think if the West will continue with this stupid posture over the Ukraine and Russia would have nothing more to lose, intervention is more than possible.
Would make a nice shot in the a$$ for Obama as a payback for a Kiev coup.

Actually, Navy Patriot, General Mihailovich supported and rescued/evacuated the fallen American and Allied airmen from behind enemy lines in 1944 AFTER he was betrayed and abandoned by the Allies, which is one of the things that makes me admire him so much.

He truly believed in doing the right thing, and did the right thing, no matter what his personal circumstances were.

General Mihailovich displayed the true courage and honor of the classic heroic warrior.

My purpose was to indicate the honor and trust of the Serbian patriots in general, fighting at extreme disadvantage against the Nazi, Arrow Cross, and Islamist Axis, and illustrate the historical dishonor of the US, English, and Western European politicians in their repeated betrayal of the Serbian people.

Ah! The whining Serbs! Why are they always playing the victim in Europe? Everyone knows they’re not.

Because they’ve endured the partition of their nation, sort of like if Obama gives back half of Texas to Mexico.

Oh wait, he’s already doing that.

So, how do YOU like it? Hmmm?

BS, if the Serbs wanted Kosovo, then they should have taken it. If you cant take and hold what you claim, then it is not really yours. The complaints of the Serbs on Kosovo is akin to the complaints of Arabs over the loss of Israel.

So if the Texans can’t hold Texas, it’s their fault. Got it.

Precisely, you cannot claim what you do not possess.

Of course, the Serbs were holding Kosovo until NATO began bombing Serb civilian targets.
