The Hague (AFP) - A prominent Dutch cartoonist at Charlie Hebdo heaped scorn on the French satirical weekly's "new friends" since the massacre at its Paris offices on Wednesday.
"We have a lot of new friends, like the pope, Queen Elizabeth and (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. It really makes me laugh," Bernard Holtrop, whose pen name is Willem, told the Dutch centre-left daily Volkskrant in an interview published Saturday.
France's far-right National Front leader "Marine Le Pen is delighted when the Islamists start shooting all over the place," said Willem, 73, a longtime Paris resident who also draws for the French leftist daily Liberation.
He added: "We vomit on all these people who suddenly say they are our friends."

This was a nasty magazine, not that that excuses the Muslims murdering twelve people. If the Pope wasn’t terribly friendly, it’s because they published some filthy attacks on the Catholic Church and Christianity, as well as Islam.

Did you bother to read the article? He makes a valid point, where were these good time Charlies a week ago?
Better yet, where will their anger be a year from now after all is forgotten? One only has to look at the history of the now forgotten 9/11 here in the U.S. to see where he's coming from..........
While inelegantly expressed he’s actually right.
Andrew Bolt makes the very valid point that Charlie Hebdo was chosen exactly because they were one of the very few, if not the only, media outlet brave enough to poke fun at Islam.
