Rush Says Obama is Trying to Ban Ammunition
Gun Watch ^ | 27 February, 2015 | Dean Weingarten

Posted on 02/26/2015 10:25:29 AM PST by marktwain

Heard on Rush Limbaugh Show a few minutes ago.  Rush mentioned the ban on  SS109 and M855 ammunition being pushed by the Obama administration.  Rush said that when people began buying ammunition two years ago, the left said that they were kooks.  Now they have been proven to be correct.

Rush did say that the ban was on specific ammunition, but that people should not be fooled.  They want to go after all ammunition, and they have to start someplace.

Rush is not a "gun guy"; but he is a far sighted political thinker, and he can see the incremental strategy used by the disarmists'.

The first effect of Rush's raising of the  public consciousness will be a run on ammunition sales.   Expect significant increases in short term demand, perhaps lasting for several weeks.

I would not be surprised to see existing stocks of pistol and rifle ammunition to be cleaned out of Wal-Mart for the next month.   Most avid gun culture people have already been aware of the pending ban, and SS109 and M855 have been sold out from Internet and wholesale outlets for a week.

Executive Action, Executive Action, Executive Action, Executive Action...

and the pink-pantied republicans do nothing about him/it.

I supose Barry Soebarkah and POTUS Val Jarrett can, through Executive Action, order the round-up and murder of all newborn male, Christian infants and the republicans will do nothing about it.

This is why the Executive Branch agencies all need to be trimmed or some completely gotten rid of (such as Education, Energy, etc)

0bama and Washington DC have assumed the role King George and England had 240 years ago.

“It’s a different bullet from the ball ammo.”

No. The Army nomenclature for it is Cartridge, Caliber 5.56 mm, Ball, M855. This is the current ball ammo. M855 does not even meet the BATF’s own definition of armor piercing as it has a lead core. The current 5.56mm Armor Piercing round is M995 and it has a tungsten core.

My mama always told me, “Son don’t keep your ammo
in the boat.” But would I listen?

Depending on the wording of the EO, this could be a much bigger deal than the ATF just banning green tips. If the focus is on ammo that “may” be used in “hand guns,” then nothing is off the table.

He’s got a larger point that he’s been shouting today -

YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE AND WHAT THEY _WANT_ TO DO

and not just look at the baby steps they’re taking to get there.

I have no faith a majority Republican Congress combined with a Republican president will roll back what has been done.
Don't need Congress. See Øbama for details.

Yes you could, but if there is a run on ammo, brass will be very hard to find. Re-loaders will run on brass and primers quickly.

Re-loading supplies/powder are next— mark it. All to “protect” us from “terrorists”. This is true to form to the marxist’s methodology of destroying freedom.

Got news— there are many other rounds that are capable of
“penetrating”. This is just the start.

The notion that some gang-banger would buy a pistol to take 5.56 is ridiculous and of no threat to the police. What is is a little trayvon with a 9mm ruger or shorty 9 of some sort, who pulls from the pocket and shoots the officer.

Of course, this is NOT about the police or crime. It is about removing rounds from the populace.

Not all SS109 projectiles are marked with a green tip.

Hey, I survived decades of leaded gasoline fumes and live in an old house likely filled with leaded paint. Still kickin’.
