Amid the left's attempts to raise a ruckus about Indiana's passage of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act....we're now seeing threats by some companies, groups, and individuals, bowing to the PC gods..to boycott the state. In case anyone has forgotten, it's about 15 years since the NAACP instituted its boycott of South Carolina. So, how's that been working out?
I have enjoyed Hilton Head in the off season when I was young, single and before the kids. I guess I’m “crowd-phobic” and prefer natural beaches with few people per square mile.

From what I heard, when this boycott started it was not even a blip when it was supposed to hurt. All hotel and convention venues were able to quickly fill what few cancellations they had.
Hasn’t cut the crime rate one bit. Some boycott.
It sure didn’t stop Black Bike week from occurring at Myrtle Beach every year, which is also when MB has their annual spike in crime. Of course, the NAACCCP also said it was racist that many MB shop owners closed down that week.
The Black Bike Weekers supposedly had a way around that. They claimed that they would go up the road ( 39 miles ) to North Carolina and do all of their spending there instead of in SC. Sure they did :)
I’ve got family in SC, and hope my granddaughter may someday attend The Citadel...or any number of fine SC colleges.
But the Citadel first!
Thank you for fixing the thread. STAY AWAY!!
Remember Obama and his I95 Corridor of Shame. Over six years later, and he and Clyburn haven’t improved anything. Made it worse. But the lefty networks loved that slogan.
