I see the first moron just posted a comment at the site.
They’re not just ruining landscapes, they’re chopping up eagles and hawks by the millions.
That has been my theory for years as well, the bigger and gaudier. and imposing, then the better for the left.
It is like their government art in public spaces, the larger and more jarring and dominant to the public, the better.
Don’t forget they ruin the weather and hypnotize drivers and don’t make any electricity.
Oh, you are a blog pimp, who has never responded or participated at freerepublic.
A troll.
They are a monument to the left’s ideology.
“Symbolism over Substance.”
We managed to stop any more being built in our county after 145 of the monuments to Gaia got snuck threw with little forewarning. One of the 3 commissioners recently apologized for not realizing the turmoil that accompanies them. Families torn apart and home property values down 25-40$
% that is. 2 of the 3 commissioners got primaries out and several county council members met the same fate.
Western Kansas is littered with these uglified monstrosities. Totally hideous.
And all they really generate is liberal self-righteousness.
The strip of rolling farm land that inspired Grant Wood is just an hour or so north of me and it is blighted by these things.
“Wind farms”. The Mother of All Eyesores.
You can’t make greenies happy.
The are Leftist Crony Money Machines.
I haven't thought of it that way till now, it's the sissified left's version of heads on pikes.
Fukashima?
I still remember the idiot back about 1978 that proposed putting a bug fan at one end of a tunnel and the wind turbine at the other end.
And had a terrible time explaining the laws of physics and why fulltime generators driven by the motion of a car’s wheels going down the road is not a net positive.
Liberals truly believe in fairy tales.
You are going to have some seriously deadly and extremely large high speed projectiles. Any of these "brilliant" greenies ever considered that?
Oh, but with enough gov’t subsidies, those type of ideas work.
For example, some country in europe was subsidizing solar power to the point that it made economic sense for a company to power powerful floodlights with diesel generators to shine on photovoltaic arrays at night.
