Every now and then one of my liberal facebook friends will post some stats about some scandinavian country having short work weeks, free health care, etc. and I just post, “yeah”, I used to get free food, health care, etc. and I didn’t have to work at all!

It’s not about victory, it’s the struggle that matters. Once they’ve won one battle they move to another struggle. After Obamacare, it was Common Core. After Common Core, it’s climate change, or transgender rights. After that it’s white privilege, and on and on and on.

The belief that major social victories (same sex marriage, etc) are close to being won has the “sensible” establishment Progressives now being challenged by the extremist Progressives.

Case in point: the emerging trend of extreme Progressives protesting the Vagina Monologues and trying to get it shut down on campuses ... because in an era of spin the wheel of gender not all women have vaginas and therefore the Vagina Monologues are discriminatory, bigoted and create an unsafe environment.

I’m relishing getting to drop little ideological grenades like that in the middle of my Left Wing FB friends and watching them tear into each other.
