It's time for Ted to demand the legislation be transparent.

He has but you don't want to know so never mind.

Key “appearance”.... the outward look or aspect.

But what is the real truth? The inner working of the sabbatical?

Sabbatical... an extended period of leave. She is going right back to Goldman as soon as possible. Whatever she and he do while she is gone accumulates to their benefit when she returns. There is no way out of this for them. They have a conflict of interest. It is unavoidable.

Sorry, I liked a lot about Cruz but now I can’t vote for him. Not because he or she or they are successful but because they can be counted on to act in their own best interest. It is inevitable.

Actually, he didn’t say anything about striking. He said “I stroke Gold...” He never did tell us who, or want Gold is, maybe a nickname for his favorite man part. That could explain why he seems to be getting all excited and stuff.

Just Sayin’

According to a Bloomberg article written in mid-March before she took that leave of absence: "She serves as regional head of the Houston office in the private wealth-management unit, which serves individuals and families who have on average more than $40 million with the firm."

Well now. This is a whole lot different than being "part of the division that wrote the evil monster".

Truth be told I'd probably benefit if this passed because of my stock holdings and where I work. But I don't support it because I can't read it and I suspect it is bad for the country overall....not to mention I don't trust Obama with the negotiating power to even decide what to have for dinner.

I’m still trying to find out the details on Obama’s trade bill, and am not sure where Cruz stands on it. But if he’s for this monstrosity in any way, then alarm bells would be appropriate. The news about his wife’s job at GS is at least troubling.

Are there any candidates out there who are not beholden to the globalists who seek to control our nation and the world?

But if I misjudged the tone of your previous post I do apologize. It could have been taken a couple of ways and it would have been better to have examined the reasons for your post by asking you about it.

Agreed on Walker’s wife and frankly his whole family.

Walker is the single candidate in the race who isn’t a Harvard or otherwise elitist. Who hasn’t been raking it in from lobbyists or has a connected father or wife.

He and his family are the most normal American family I have ever seen this close to attaining the presidency in my lifetime. I think a lot of people hunger for that and why he has a chance to ultimately pull over a bunch of moderates in 2016 and win.

A conflict of interest is unavoidable once the linkage is established. Even a clean, clear cut can’t fix it.

To avoid a conflict of interest... don’t have one!

It is a shame, I thought Cruz courageous.

Frankly, even though he is a wing nut, I’m beginning to lean toward someone as radical as Rand Paul.... is it time to over correct?

Correct. It is the group and the culture and the relationships that also form a conflict of interest.

Goldman is like an organized crime syndicate. Once in, always in until they throw you out with prejudice.

I’m getting a kick out of the “sacrifice” campaign that the Cruz’s are now waging. If they think it is such a sacrifice and have to tell about it that means they resent it. When you do something for the right reasons you do it and don’t say why or complain about it.

The long knives are out for Cruz by the One Issue Wackos who demand allegiance or death.

Yep. Attacking a candidate on an issue is fair game. But completely trashing a solid conservative because they screwed up on one issue is not too wise. I disagreed with Reagan on a few items too but always kept things in perspective. Cruz, Sessions and a few others are all we have got in government right now. Hopefully Luke (Cruz) will get his mind right on this trade issue

Actually, the difference between ‘Cruise’ and ‘Cruz’ isn’t exactly a typo. I think you may have Tom Cruise on you mind?

And no, insults are not something to be proud of.

Since my previous posts in this same thread got his name right it was obviously a typo. And if insults are not something to be proud of... why do you hurl them.

Ncalburt:

I’m with you. I wanted to believe in Cruz but that belief faded when I learned the truth about his wife. They may actually be OK but as for me, I’m not willing to take that chance.

You sound like many of us did in 2008. “Read his [obongo’s] book! He is telling us what he is going to do and what he believes in! Please read the book!” And only a few did. “Under my plan the price of electricity will necessarily skyrocket” And it will.

I will not take a chance on Cruz any more than I will on a really nice kid in our home town whose father is a convicted felon. If I can monitor and control his actions on my property and be there when he is there I would give him benefit of doubt but without those precautions... no, I will not be able to trust him and that is a shame.

Same with Ted now. Ted has now given me cause to doubt him and I will not be able to place full faith and trust in his future actions that I can’t control. I will not entrust him to be President.

I do not believe you are wrong though I don’t care that she has millions I do care about the choices she has made and the company she consorts with. Some jobs just are not worth having and our reputation is made by our actions and the company we keep.

I believe Goldman are the devil’s spawn. They will make a deal with anyone for anything and in any way for more money. I do not consider them either ethical or trustworthy.

Yes, it is going to be a long 17 months and I’m afraid the pubes have already lost. They have already confused the campaign front with too many candidates and too many positions and too many questionable actions. Even if the deck were not stacked against conservatives I think they can manage to lose.

Their words are confusing and their actions make the words even more confusing.

I don’t give a flying f* who Ted’s wife work(ed) for. I trust Ted. You go vote for Lindsey or Huck if that’s who floats your boat.
