It’s really weird to see one of the more masculine and patriarchal professional sports keep making politically correct steps to convince America that it isn’t masculine and patriarchal. I guess this year they’re gonna ramp it up with the first ever LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) celebration! And of course it had to be the Detroit Lions:
The Detroit Lions are set to host what is believed to be the NFL’s first LGBT night, according to a report in the Detroit Free Press.
The Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce says it will hold a pride event during the Lions’ game against the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 25 at Ford Field. It would follow similar LGBT pride events already held by the organization at Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers games since December.
CEO James Felton Keith said his group will have access to a block of upper-level tickets plus rooftop seating. In addition, he said, the group will be acknowledged during the game on the scoreboard or in some other way, adding that the Lions will help find corporate sponsorship for the event and a pregame tailgate party.

Thank goodness it’s not the Broncos; I really don’t need one more depressing matter to further depress my limited enthusiasm, given that the Broncos replaced their entire ok-but-not-great coaching staff with a bunch of known losers, and their star quarterback probably only has one more good year left, with nothing but putzes for the future.

I just said out loud for the first time today that I don’t think I want to be here any more. Every day is miserable. Not because of gay people or marriage, but because the nation has lost it’s mind.
