Boehner unlikely to golf again with Obama

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said he is unlikely to hit the golf links any time soon with President Obama because people get “bent out of shape."

“The President has suggested, ‘Hey, do you think it is too much trouble to play golf again?’ ” he said in excerpts of an interview on the Golf Channel airing Monday.

“I have to look at him and say, ‘Yes, because everybody gets bent out of shape worried about what we are up to, when all we are really going to do is just play golf.’ ”

The avid golfer dished on his 2011 round of golf with Obama, when the two defeated Vice President Joe Biden and Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio), who is now running for the GOP presidential nomination.

Obama invited the speaker to golf with himself and the vice president, giving Boehner the choice to pick a fourth. When he brought along Kasich, Obama decided to split up the Ohioans.

“The President and I whipped up on them pretty good and they paid up,” he said.

“As soon as we got in the cart I said, Mr. President, just remember something, this is just golf.”

To Boehner, golf is his “escape” to get out of the stresses of the job.

“It is an escape from all of the other things going on because when you are trying to hit that little white ball, you don’t have time to think about anything else,” he said.

He told his interviewer, David Feherty, that he wants to be remembered as “fair, decent and honest,” someone that treats members from both parties the same.

And as one of the most powerful people in Washington, he’s not willing to risk it all on a shot at the White House.

“You’ve got to either have a very special calling or be an ego maniac to want to [run for president],” he said.

“On top of that, I smoke cigarettes, I drink red wine, I play golf, I cut my own grass and I wash and iron my own shirts. I’m not giving that up to be president of the United States.”

Yeah, well, I’ll remember John Boehner as a useless Republican establishment pantywaist POS.

Does Boehner cry every time he misses a putt?

Yeah? What are the next three things you'd like to be remembered for, John?

This is exactly why everybody is disillusioned. Most of believe the Obama is trying to destroy our country. Not gope...they think he’s a great guy to golf with.

Obama was tired of John crying after every bad shot.

John was tired of Obama vetoing every bad shot.

“fair, decent and honest” so he accomplishes that by demoting conservatives from committee chairs that don’t go along with him and the rest of the RINOS and dems.

because people get “bent out of shape." ........I guess he got the word from valjar bammy won't be inviting him for golf before he leaves office. Because we all know Bohner doesn't give a cr4p about us getting "bent out of shape" for anything else.

You know, I get blasted for a very binary worldview a lot. Maybe thats good, maybe not. (deep breath-run on sentence of exasperation to follow) But can anyone please explain how this idiot’s mind can so casually brush off the fact that people are upset because he thinks of the most destructive force America has seen to date, BECAUSE OF HIS INEPTITUDE, as merely his freaking GOLF BUDDY?

Barack Obama has a drink with Joe Biden, John Boehner, John Kasich at Joint Base Andrews after playing a round of golf on June 18, 2011. (White House Photo)

In his address to the Republican National Convention tonight, Ohio Gov. John Kasich talked a lot about policy, about unions, about debt and surpluses and budget deficits. And then, at the end, he turned to a what seems to be a very personal subject among Ohio politicians and the current administration Kasich would like to be see voted out of office: Golf.

"Folks, let me tell you this - Joe Biden disputes a lot of those facts, but Joe Biden told me that he was a good golfer. And I've played golf with Joe Biden, I can tell you that's not true, as well as all of the other things that he says," Kasich said Tuesday at the Republican convention.

Say what? Golf, a little over a year ago, is what was supposed to bring Washington together. Remember the golf summit? That's what Kasich was referring to. Joe Biden, Barack Obama, House Speaker John Boehner and Kasich, in the heat of a fight over how to extend a debt ceiling, played a round together..... Fore! Ohio Gov. I just read that John Boehner was on the golf course giving an interview to a Golf Channel, when he suddenly “burst into tears”. The man is not well, this is too much stress for him. Obama strings him along because Boehner is so transparently vulnerable and easy to manipulate. It’s like taking candy from a baby, then hitting the baby over the head with his own lollipop.

That my friend is the effect Booze has on the Brain after pickling it for 40 plus years.

John just doesn’t think straight. His Brain is not capable of formulating a rational cause-effect thought process.

Because it’s all a game. Designed to sucker you out of your money.

It’s like the Yankees and the Red Sox, the marketing gets the fans revved up to hate each other, on the field the players are actually all friends and laughing all the way to the bank with their millions, all made possible by this marketing created “rivalry”.

Just play golf?

I’ll tell you right now , that is a bald face lie.

I’m sure Boehners getting his marching orders. If he’s on the
links with the Obama and they are having a gay ol time, that
would be worse. That would be a for sure sign Boehners on
board with the Obama agenda.
