My feeling — he’s not talking theology and his relationship with God. He’s talking about his relationship with the media.

We deserve better than Trump.Yes we do. Trump is a liberal. There is a liberal in the White House now. We don't need another.

I’m getting tired of the false claim that our only choices are Trump or Jeb, etc.
I want a committed Christian, a true conservative, and a man who leads from strength...one who understands that one can be devout and yet a lifelong fighter.
Ted Cruz.

Reagan had an Irish Catholic dad....and a Presbyterian mom (like Trump) who he identified with throughout life.

I read the article. He sounds not only like an unbeliever, but also like a lot of people that attend church regularly.
He is a bit of a microcosm of the American “Christian” culture.

How can a believer in good conscience partake in Communion and not have asked God for forgiveness and repented his sin? Sometimes I wonder if Trump doesn't think that God should be asking for forgiveness from him?

If you look at our culture, yes we have. We are the bad guys.

I think it’s the latter. He’s not talking about religion, he’s talking about the incessant hammering from the media.

"Get a life trolls!!" Another thing I'm tired of is the screeching about "trolls" when someone dares tell the truth about the One.
Let's stop this nonsense and get down to vetting Trump.

I think you could all stop the pompous religious lecture. Trump was honest unlike so many chest thumping Christians.
Not everyone actively asks God for forgiveness. We need to elect a president not a pastor.
Having said that, I prefer Cruz, who I assume is adequately religious and repentant for all of us.

Agreed. The media think that they are God. No one should bow to them.

"My gosh, you have a log in your eye! We deserve better than Obama!" All the Trump justifications are coming out on this thread...Trump might be better than Obama so we have to go with him. Not true.

And your TAKE is the correct one...imo. that is exactly what he means by that statement, nothing more.
To: CatherineofAragon
If I can suggest an endgame, hopefully Trump in the end will release his delegates to Cruz.
