I thought Rush deflected this issue pretty well.

PA Coal: Rush decides everything.....and I have it on good authority that he never listens to his guest hosts. They have some metrics, based on call volume, ad response...but that’s it.
Now, he no doubt has seen what Erick has been up to. It’ll be interesting to see.

strikes me that Rush and Erickson have both missed it on Trump....Rush on one side and Erick on the other.
Neither has it right...
By the next time Erickson subs for Rush, this little non-event will have been forgotten by all except those who can’t step outside their political bubble......

The bet here is Erickson will never sub-host for Rush again.
Keep in mind Chris Mathews sub-hosted for Rush but that was short lived.
Managed to catch that portion of the show. Rush quickly swept the Erickson issue aside with that single terse statement and then proceeded with a much longer rambling about how Trump is what Trump is. But to me it seemed Rush was distancing himself far more from Trump than from Erickson.
There was a segment days before the “Debate” in which Rush cited some of his chief news sources which surprisingly included the RedState site.
IMO Rush has been, in the last year or so, become sloppy in his show prep, meandering discoursions, forgetful searching for the fact or name that earlier would have been snapped out quickly. Could be that the three hour format is just wearing on him after almost three decades.
I want to know how Erikson found out that judge has sex with goats. Anyone know?

Mark Davis strikes me as a thinker. He’s the Dennis Prager of Texas!
I get frustrated with him. I have been listening for about twenty-six years because of the updates, his voices and humor but no updates anymore, he rarely does Clinton voice and his humor is almost non-existent. Well yesterday the stuff about blood was funny and he was having fun with the black ladies video. I had the ditto cam on and he was shaking he was laughing so hard. Every time he gets married it seems the women steal his soul or something.
No more Erickson for me. I won’t be listening to him when he fills in for Rush.

I also hear him (nearly) cut off a lot when he is talking. It is as if no one is in there telling him a break is coming up.
I only listen to Steyn. I can’t bear any of the other substitutes. I even remember when Chris Matthews was a sub!
I basically heard Rush say that he won’t be told who he can or can’t have as a guest host. That said, he also suggested he won’t have a host who is busy self-destructing.
