You are absolutely right.
Apples and oranges. FreeRepublic is constitutionally protected political free speech while this business was at best a conspiracy to commit family destroying betrayal or at worst serious criminal activity. The users of this business got exactly what they deserved and their loss will stand as a warning to others. This was a righteous hack.

Not sure of your intent, but Paul said that the cross is offensive, and that the Gospel is foolishness to those that are perishing.
I don’t know but I think snow was part of the nick. I looked him up on the Memorial Wall (1955-2008) but his posting nick is not displayed like most who are on the wall which would fall in with his wanting his history deleted. His tribute thread runs to over 2000 posts.

What *I* find (not so) surprising is the same group who would storm-trooper anyone’s biz/home/etc. for lack of govt’ compliance in *guffaw* ‘security’, is completely 180 on the matter: You WHITELIST as needed, all else is DENIED.
The SAME group of people whom have EVERY TIDBIT of information on (more than likely) every human on the planet from birth to death....
YOU break the law/compliance and prepare for the iron fist/boot. Govt, on the other hand, “Oops!”. Just see how quick THEY are to ‘assist’ when YOUR identity is stolen (abetted by govt by the holes they left open)

Seeing how anyone could sign up for a free "guest" account with any email address; real, fake or someone else's and any name they choose, I suspect most every politician on both sides of the aisle have Ashley Madison accounts they know nothing about that were set up by people trying to discredit them.
Free Speech didn’t stop the Gaystapo and the courts from financially ruining that cake shop. To the Left, FR and sites like it are just as bad as AM, if not worse: to them we spew “hate speech”, espouse extremist ideologies, and want to overthrow their nearly-socialist government and their Dear Leader and turn the US into a Theocracy.
