Please direct me to the line in the constitution supporting your claim. There is none. This women is defying the Supreme Court and is therefor been jailed. We may bot agree with the ruling, but I will remind you and everyone here about ...

Romans 13 1-2 Every Christian ought to obey the civil authorities, for all legitimate authority is derived from God’s authority, and the existing authority is appointed under God. To oppose authority then is to oppose God, and such opposition is bound to be punished.

Honestly, who cares if these people want to get “Married”? It takes nothing away from me, my faith,....

I don’t get how this is a 1st amendment issue. There is no ‘right’ to be a government functionary. If she doesn’t want to do the job of handing out government licenses in accordance with the law she can quit. Nobody is forcing her to do so.
I believe anyone has a right to open a bakery and serve whomever they please because it is their labor and their property, but nobody gets to be a government clerk and start deciding how to apply the law contrary to the direction of the courts. She can decide she doesn’t want to do it, but she can’t decide no one else can. A clerkship is not a fiefdom.

Dude, we cannot have everything right with our candidates.

Yet many make every single issue a make-or-break deal. We're going to have to fight some of these battles ourselves, no one is going to take up for us on every single issue.

However, his comment that his sister would make a great Supreme does concern me. Our next President will determine the balance of the court.

What exactly do you want him to do except “talk”.

The whole gay marriage issue is a judicial one at this point, seeing as the USSC has ruled. There's not much the executive branch (where Trump would work if elected) can do about that aspect of it... unless he acts lawlessly like Obama, and I'm not sure I want that either.

Hopefully there's some solution... I just don't know what it is.

“Talking” about her won’t help her.

What do you expect Trump to do?
Back his big escalade to jail front door.
And free her by pulling the door off with a chain?

I don’t think this is an acceptable answer given the amount of press this story has gotten from the past month or so and that it’s been discussed over all of talk radio, which Trump says he listens to all the time.

Really?

Seems like a lot of folks here are ignorant of what is going on there, and what the law really is in Kentucky, and what protections are afforded Ms. Davis in the US and KY constitutions that are being run roughshod by this judge.

Maybe Trump wants to learn about it before he opens his mouth.

How refreshing.

“This is a very simple issue.”

Sure it is, and I never said it’s not. What’s the next issue: abortion? Iran? Right now, our country is F***** beyond recognition because these illegals leeches the system. There will be issues that each freeper holds dear and I’m sure this does to you. However, why cant we just wait awhile and see if he’ll say something?

“Dude, but jailing people for their conscious? Could we at least ask for a candidate who cares about that?”

That would be Cruz.

Only thing I heard from Perry today was, in relation to Trump, that a broken clock was right once a day.

Guess he wasn't wearing his glasses.

I want Trump to show everyone who he actually is and what he actually cares (and doesn’t care) about. This is a good start.

Mine is simple on issues: lock up the southern border, deport ALL illegals, strengthen the economy and destroy our foreign enemies. Oh yeah, abolish faggot marriage and obamacare. and I hope he doesn’t insist his crazy sister to be on the SC.

Let me see if I can help. She is an elected official, she was elected because her constituents believed she best represented their belief systems. She claims she is acting in good faith based on her constitutionally protected religious beliefs. I for one don't doubt her on this. That being the case, the correct procedure would be to impeach her. Not put her in jail because because she does not believe as you judge she should.

Well, I’m not a fan so I don’t much care, but this might be his time to finally address some constitutional issues...

I will be supporting Cruz during the primary...If Trump get’s the nomination, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Liberals across the country have engaged in a full on media meltdown over the Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples in the county she serves.

Not surprisingly, most media outlets have been leaving out one key detail from the story.

From NBC News:

A federal judge has ordered a Kentucky clerk to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Kim Davis, a clerk in Rowan County, was found in contempt of court on Thursday morning by Judge David Bunning. Davis has said granting marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples would “violate God’s definition of marriage” and infringe on her personal beliefs as an Apostolic Christian.

Davis, a registered Democrat, had worked as a deputy clerk for 27 years before voters in Rowan County elected her as clerk last November.

Did you catch that?

Turns out, the horrible bigot from the backwards, racist south is a Democrat.

This is certainly an interesting development. All the name calling and terrible comments that have been levied at Kim Davis from the left, are actually being directed at a member of their own party.

So much for the notion that the Democrats are an all accepting party that is tolerant of everyone’s views.

I guess there are some liberals out there who believe in religious liberty. Who knew?

I’ve quoted that a few times, to people who said they would rather die fighting than on their knees praying.

They shut up.
