Cruz had been building his organization in Iowa for months, targeting the heavily evangelical caucus voters there. Iowa was a must win for him and he put everything on the line. For Trump to just come waltzing in and almost beat Cruz there is impressive, don’t let let anybody kid you about that.
Heâs also got a billionaire with a $6 billion tax debt fight who gave him $31 million. And $705,000 from the open borders Club for Growth...
Ted is kind of serving two masters there...It will be interesting to see if, now that Iowa is over, Ted gets a lot more secular in his approach to the contest...
That e-mail was entirely accurate. If it seems to imply that Carson is quitting, the implication is Carson’s.
“It donât matter.. Trump Lost big.. His big head got in the way.. He thought he could go out in the street and shoot someone and his voters would still vote for him.. You know what else Trump didnât go down in the trenches.. He didnât wear the right garments.. Long sleeve blue or gray shirt rolled up at the sleeve and Jeans.. Oh yea cowboy boots.”
In other words he’s a low energy old man.
The report was that some reporter had spoken to "someone" high up in the carson campaign who told them Carson was leaving while he could still get a flight out. He would be in florida and then go to the DC Prayer Day Breakfast on Thursday to speak.
I understand how the average addled Cruz brain could interpret that to mean it was open season on his delegates and they should be directed to vote for Cruz.
It would seem to me the only one who could decide if Carson was dropping out, would be Carson.
If he doesn’t win NH he should probably ditch Lewandowski and get somebody with a better track record and more hands-on approach to run things.
Trump is doing his part fine, he needs better people organizing for him.
Great baseball analogy.
Sounds like you live humbly, as we all should.
They will all adjust accordingly state-by-state, Cruz is no exception.
I think its around $400 million or so
[Cruz has to lose a bit of his soul by using dirty tricks on Carson]
The real story about CARSON’S CAMPAIGN...
If the New Hampshire office of the pro-Ben Carson super PAC 2016 Committee felt a little empty Monday, that’s because everybody quit and joined Ted Cruz’s campaign.
WMUR reported Monday that all five paid New Hampshire staffers for the pro-Carson super PAC resigned Sunday to become volunteers for Cruz, the Texas senator, who they feel is the most electable conservative.
“We hold Dr. Carson in the highest regard,” the group’s spokesperson, Jerry Sickles, told WMUR. “This is a man we revere, but we think it is important that our party nominate a conservative and get behind a single conservative who can win, and we strongly believe that candidate is Ted Cruz.”
Bull only the sleazy lying candidates change their tune state by state. You can bet Trump will be Trump no matter what state he is in.
Probably a whole lot more than Cruz, if that is your defining issue. After all, he has borrowed hundreds of millions in his life.
Seriously? Donald Trump is far from saint. We saw a bit of unraveling yesterday. Just look at that mouth- you can’t get a picture of him without it in that round “I am telling someone off or bragging” shape. Man People hate cruz because he is an avowed christian. Just like they dislike ANY christian. Yet ted cruz has consistently done what he said he would. I will vote for him on primary day and will support he or TRUMP if they get nomination.
“average addled Cruz brain”

And right there is a prime example of why FR is going to he77 in a handbasket. Can’t make your point without disparaging someone that disagrees with your candidate. Why not try pumping him up versus tearing down someone elses’s supporters?
Wouldn’t hang my hat on this and other similar stories - Cruz still needs to reckon with Trump, and so it would appear - Rubio.
Agreed, I think Trump pays way too much attention to the polls. He’s used to measuring results and success in business but he needs to realize that there is a lot of funny business in the polls!
The Moneyball analogy about organizing around data is spot on. Iowa is first and foremost a test of organizational skills. Cruz did well, Trump fell short.
If Cruz spins the nomination and brings his Iowa ground game against Hillary he stands a good chance of winning. If Trump does the same, he’s going to lose.
But Iowa is a learning ground as well, Trump has the money and should have the business accumen to quickly assimilate the lessons and readjust for the coming primaries.
I thought hiring the right people was his forte?
The two “states” where what Trump says are almost polar opposites are “candidate” and “non-candidate”.
BREAKING: @moody has learned @realbencarson will return to FL following #IAcaucus, will not go to either NH or SC https://t.co/jl8NOY9KEx
