Man Asks Bernie Why he Should Pay More in Taxes, Here’s his MORONIC Response
Young Conservatives ^ | 2/3/16 | Alicia Powe

America is being destroyed by the murder of the middle class and these trends will continue to accelerate if another Democrat is elected.

Sen. Bernie Sanders kicked off a town hall in New Hampshire Wednesday night by ensuring the poor and middle class major tax increases.

An audience member asked Sanders about how his socialist plan to raise taxes would be help him on a $41,000 a year salary.

Sanders claimed people would ultimately save money funding his “Medicare-for-all, single-payer program ” and not having to pay health insurance premiums.

From Breitbart:

Sanders was asked by Chris Brownell, “Senator Sanders, the first thing I hear about you is that you’re going to raise taxes on the middle class. I support my family on a salary of $41,000 a year. I’m wondering if you raise my taxes, how does that help me?”

He responded, “This is what we are going to do, the United States is the only major country on earth that doesn’t guarantee healthcare to all people, and we end up spending far, far more per capita on healthcare, as do the people of any other country, Canada, UK, France, whatever. What we are going to fight for, is a Medicare-for-all, single-payer program, which would provide comprehensive healthcare to your family, and every family in America. So, let me tell you what we do, we raise your taxes if you’re somewhere in the middle of the economy, about 500 bucks, but you know what we’re going to do? For healthcare, we’re going to reduce your healthcare costs by $5,000. So, you’re going to pay a little bit more in taxes, but you’re no longer going to have to pay private health insurance premiums. Now, I’ve been criticized for this, but I believe that healthcare is a right of all people, that we should not have these deductibles and co-payments. We should not be paying the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs, and our Medicare-for-all program will guarantee comprehensive care to all people, and save middle class families some thousands of dollars a year.”

Brownell then stated, “I mean, if it saves me on health insurance premiums, I will gladly pay more taxes.”

Sanders added, “[S]ometimes people distort things. And I’ve had 30-second ads run against me years ago, Bernie is going to raise your taxes! But they forget to say, we’re going to do away with your private health insurance premiums. Bottom line here is, we spend almost three times more per person than the British, 50% more than the French. We can save substantial sums of money, and my Medicare-for-all system is funded in a very progressive way. Yes, you’ll pay a little bit more, but your health premiums will disappear.

He’ll just raise your taxes and the government will be in total control of your healthcare. What a deal!

No thanks, Uncle Bernie.

We are not France or Denmark or Canada.

Money in public health care funds is the easiest for the politicians to steal.

Bernie idiotically believes that healthcare is a “right,” so the government must provide it. My second amendment is a right, should the government buy me guns?

If you love the VA then you’ll love Berniecare.

if he’s going to tax him $500 more and provide him with a $5,000 benefit, why not just give him a $4,500 benefit and leave his taxes alone? No socialist can answer this.

That's just about what Obama promised.

How about if you give us all free food. You can raise our taxes $500 a year and provide $5000 worth of free food per year to every family.

What we really need is government legal care.

All lawyers should be government employees at the GS-5 level.

All judges should be at the GS-6 level.

Think of all the money saved!

When Bernie started his campaign he was going to go after the top of the 1%, the Rockefellers and people that have HUGE family trusts. Now he’s going after the middle class? Typical politician, sounds just like Obama.

Bernie is another disconnected from reality liberal idiot who always thinks raising taxes is the answer to everything. Not once would it ever occur to him or any of his liberal cronies that they should look over the budget to cut useless programs and save $$$ so they don’t have to keep stealing from the middle class. Of course it would never occur to thieves that that would be an option.

It's because it's the typical liberal spiel to tell someone something that sounds good in an argument or discussion to shut them up but never meaning it or following through on it. Its a soft form of lying. Liberals are good at conceptualizing but horrible on following through and realizing anything. They're like armchair mechanics who've never worked on a car telling someone how to do it.

Zeke Emanuel, one of the brains behind 0bamacare said there’s no reason for anyone to live past 75. Sanders is 74. For that matter Pelosi, McClame, Jimmah Carter and others would be well past their expiration dates. Perhaps they should set an example for the rest of us. Retire and put their affairs in order.

Magical thinking...

Under Bernie plan, his taxes will at minimum go up 2.2 %

Sanders employee paid health tax is 6.2 % ...guess this guy is expecting a raise...not.

Hah...he may not even keep his job when the GDP will result in a negative 9.5 % contraction

Here's a nice analysis of Sanders plan

Many have been indoctrinated to believe that ‘health care is a right’ by the Leftist doctrinaires at ALL the universities in the USA. While arguing with my cousin, I asked ‘where is that right accorded’? He said in the guarantee of ‘life’ (as in ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’).......I asked about abortion and he went silent. Leftists have nothing except emotion to explain their positions. And sometimes their emotions are so illogical, they are at a loss to defend their positions.

Heck, under Obamacare if you are over 70 and have a stroke you can only be offered end of life treatment. Hillary escaped that only by about 5 years.
