“Except for the socialized medicine thing.”
You really need to do some research on what he said about health care.
In the same interview that he praised the single payer system in Scotland he said “But it wouldn’t work here”
My point was not focused on the quote, but rather why conservatives would "Go Crazy" over Trump pandering and displaying his "NYC-Values". My point was that conservatives would *not* go crazy -- conservatives would *expect* trump to pander and default to his "NYC-Values". Those are the values he was raised with. It's the only values he knows. Why would anyone *NOT* expect him to pander to the LGBT folks with his knee-jerk agreement that he could be counted on for "more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians".
But don't just take my word for it, here's the verbatim quote:
LGBT Interviewer O'Connell: "When President Trump is in office can we look for more forward motion on equality for gays and lesbians?,"
Donald "NYC-Values" Trump knee-jerk reply: "Well, you can! We're going to bring people together, and that's your thing, and other people have their thing..."
So, don't get your
because your candidate is a
or because my post has you complaining
Don’t forget the wealth tax thing.
And the huge tariff thing.

Revolution is a team sport. Cruz can’t do everything, but he can do a lot. The big thing would be appointing Supreme Court judges that would not be flaming libs. Yes, I know Roberts was a disappointment, but that happens even to the best of presidents. I would still rather have Cruz than Trump doing that picking, especially after Trump praising his pro-abort sister as a candidate SC justice.
Beyond that, Cruz can support legislation designed to erode Obergfell, strengthen religious liberty for federal employees, use the bully pulpit to help build support for traditional marriage, etc.
But we can’t rely on him to fix everything. The problem is cultural and, more deeply, spiritual. The gay agenda must be seen for what it is, an attempt to deconstruct the supposed patriarchy and sexism that prevents the emergence of the Marxist utopia.
I understand folks being afraid of being judgmental. After all, that’s the heart and soul of political correctness, and that is our new religion. But that’s not my religion. I am a Christian first and foremost. Standing against perversion, as hard as it is, is just part of the job description. If you can’t do the work, find another job. If you’re going to be salt and light in a sinful world, you have to stand against evil. That’s it.
Peace,
SR
Excellent post. On point and devoid of insults.
But Molly, Trump is very soft on immigration. He’s made big promises but read the fine print.
He is way too eager to make the Wall a revolving door. He’s already said so. The good people can come back in. No problemo.
Ted has a more realistic plan on immigration and you can trust him to enact it and stick to it.
He is not malleable. Just ask Jimmy Carter.
I’ve read many statements from Trump about how he would be in favor of ‘some sort of universal healthcare.’
So I believe that’s his position, no matter what caveat he made about Scotland.
Scotland? Please.
Nice graphics. Mean as heck, but nice.
Like your tag line. It would be a surprise to Trump, though.
Why on earth would you say that Cruz wants to harm gays. That is so ridiculous, it’s not worth a reply.
But I must defend Cruz. He would not wish harm on anyone but he believes in the constitution and in states’ rights.
Do you think we should be ruled by 9 Supreme Court judges at least 3 of whom are total idiots?
I don’t.
Trump gave a typical non answer.
Make America Great again.
Let’s all get along.
So, everybody can fight what they want in Trump’s message if they look hard enough and are determined to.
Trump hits all the marks. When will people realize he is neither conservative nor consistent ... on anything.
Yes, but Trump did it to himself.
He was riding high but he can’t help self-destructing.
I find it ludicrous that anyone could think that God is raising Trump up.
I’m not sure God has a candidate but seriously doubt it would be the Trumpster.
Oh yes, he’s such a great lawyer - and believes in the rule of law except when it comes to voter intimindation and fraud. Save your breath! Hah, we are being ruled by 9 black=robed justices. Sad, but, true. There is no separation of powers any more - thanks to the quislings in Congress who refuse to grow a pair - Cruz didn’t care if he harmed Ben Carson, who is a gracious black man, so who knows? He’ll do anything for power and money.
False dichotomy. What’s wrong with the country is it’s departure from the wisdom of conservatism. We kill our innocent unborn. We spend more than we have. We steal from our own future generations. We treat the most basic truths of nature and family as though we are gods and can rewrite the laws of nature. This is all rejection of what conservatism represents and values, and much more. If we “save the country” but lose our soul in the process, we accomplish nothing.
Peace,
SR
There is nothing I can say or do to help you. You are hell bent on believing that Cruz cheated Carson.
All the facts say different.
I could recite them here again but you would not read or believe.
Trump supporters latch onto something they can blame Cruz for and continue to post it, truth be darned.
" we respect your choice and lifestyle... BUT as President I will stand for Marriage between a man and a woman ".... easy!!
BUT I don't really think that is what his stand will be.
" It's the law of the land, he says."
” we respect your choice and lifestyle... BUT as President I will stand for Marriage between a man and a woman “
Be fair, which of the other candidates are going to say that?
The abortion culture has weakened the moral fibre of our society.
It’s apparent in many aspects.
We MUST stop it to regain our souls. I do not believe it is an important issue to Trump since he was pro-abortion 3 years ago.
It is vital to me.
Hey, Cruz apologized, so yes, he knows he cheated Carson. You are the one who needs to get your head out of the sand. Everyone in the media knows it as does the governor of IA. So, you Cruzbots can hang onto your fairy tale king and continue to believe his lies. I sure don’t. People don’t apologize for something they didn’t do, now do they? NOPE.
