This may be slightly off topic, but, I have a question. Lately, I’ve been seeing ads to send money to take care of the elderly Jewish people who are going hungry. I think they are supposed to be the Holocaust victims. WHAT is this all about? Israel isn’t a 3rd world country, is it? WHY are these ads showing on TV? And, why do people have to send them money to feed them? Weird.

Those commercials have run for a long time on TV channels in the US. Surprised you haven’t seen them before this. As is explained in the commercial, more money is needed and allocated simply for the defense of the country and its citizens because of the “kind, thoughtful, peaceful, loving neighbors” they have. Not quite that cynical but that’s what it amounts to.
