Ted Cruz needs something like 90% of the remaining delegates to win the nominations.

And Trump needs a bit more than he has been getting lately. Whether we like it or not, Rubio and Kasich have a chunk of delegates large enough that they will be needed by Cruz or Trump to win. So far, "unlikeable Ted" has been able to make some alliances, "winner Trump" has scored some great endorsements, but has not been able to make a decent move for any delegates except Carson's. Both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have complementary abilities, but both want to be top dog.

RealClearPolitics has a module to project delegates. I have Trump winning the northeast and west coast with 40+% (except in NY/NJ/PA where I give him more), giving Cruz only the mountain states and great plains, where he does well. By my projections, Trump gets over 1100 delegates, and Cruz gets over 800, but Kasich winds up with close to 300 (in the northeast, mostly) and that's enough to make mischief.

The anti-Trump votes are going to go somewhere, better Cruz than Kasich.
