Typical Clinton tactic. Attack the messenger and ignore the message. Perhaps you can refute one issue. Why did he give Carley $500K?

Carley? Who is Carley?

‘Did you know Ted began planning his Iowa campaign minutes after getting elected. I think he should have told voters in Texas that he wasn’t going to D.C. to represent them, but going to further his political career.’

I didn’t know it but I’m not surprised. Cruz is an Adult Child of Alcoholics. He’ll always be trying to prove his worth, since the last thing he got as a child was stability and unconditional love. If he became POTUS, this would not bode well.

I gotta run so I will make a brief reply and perhaps we can discuss more later.

To your point 3. Trump’s “wealth defense” has been used over and over when FReepers respond to me after questioning his conservative bona fides.

Your point 4. There have been countless attacks on Cruz’s looks, his eyes, the way he talks, his wife’s looks, his children, and Carly Fiorina’s looks, as well. Go back through the threads and see how many times Trump supporters post Photoshopped images of Cruz and his family to make them look ridiculous. They post glamour shots of Trumps wife and families. It’s trivialities when we’re discussing the future of the free world.

Filling stadiums is not as important is winning votes. At just over one third of votes cast, Trump is not exactly tearing it up so far.

Support for free trade doesn’t define someone as a globalist. Many conservatives support free trade. Import tariffs are almost always used to protect crony insiders from competition. Trump is part of that insider system.

Cruz’s attempt to derail the Corker bill with a poison pill is well documented. It didn’t work, but you can’t blame Cruz for trying. Do you doubt Cruz will tear up the Iran agreement if he becomes president?

Cruz’s edibility to run for President has been confirmed by several courts already. Again, it’s a diversion used to deflect from Cruz’s positions vs. Trumps. Do you doubt Cruz holds American values? I’m more concerned about Trump’s statements that he identifies as a Democrat than that Cruz is somehow a closet Canadian. Sheesh.

The only issues that matters this election cycle is immigration. If we do not fix our illegals problem in the next four years we will lose the country to the globalists.

Legal immigration is a far bigger problem. If we maintain the status quo of bringing in 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants a year along with 640,000 guest workers annually, the country is lost. We have just had the two largest decades of legal immigration in our history. Since 1990 35 million legal permanent immigrants have entered this country. They are changing the demographics of the country. We are being colonized by the Third World.

Well I will not be voting for Ted in 2018 and I voted for him 3 times in 2012. I am hoping he gets a primary opponent, maybe Dan Patrick?

‘Find a candidate who cannot gather a crowd’

They’ve already found one. Mr. Haney, er, Cruz, is at the ‘Please clap,’ stage. Cruz just cannot generate enthusiasm. Even his most ardent supporters seem more anti-Trump than pro-Cruz,

My initial and main objection to Cruz was that he's a Cubanadian.

OK, I guess that shows the difference between us. I'm a lot more concerned that Trump, at age 55, said he "...identifies more as a Democrat".

I'll take a Cuban-American conservative over a Scotch-American identifies-as-a-democrat any time.

Cruz has a lot of money invested in Goldman-Sachs who also happens to be one of his biggest contributors along with the Club for Growth. He has significant investments in the oil industry. His financial interests and political interests are wrapped up in Wall Street. How does that influence him politically? He is a senator who has a vote.

If a businessman plays the game he a big hero but a politician is corrupt!!

Plays the game??? He was keeping his business operating and employing tens of thousands of people. I thought conservatives thought govt. should keep their noses out of business, and lessen regulations. It is unfortunate that he had to buy them to keep them off his back. Or do you believe congress was passing regulations to specifically help Trump? If so, please give me an example.

Compared to what TRUMP built with a million dollar start up loan, dad was small potatoes.

Did you really miss the obvious?

Oh! I see...Goldman Sachs are the bad businessmen and Donald Trump is the good business man. I did not know having investments in the oil industry was bad. How about investments in the gamming industry!!!
