Has Cruz got 50% in a primary yet? [vanity]

Posted on 04/19/2016 6:22:56 PM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Utah was a caucus where Cruz only got 120,000 votes, (Trump's minimum margin of victory in most traditional diverse states like Michigan or Arizona or Nevada).

When people here say Ted Cruz lied. ,more often than not it means Donald Trump told me Ted Cruz lied.

Same with Ted Cruz cheated . If Donald Trump won those Colorado delegates you enough for the peep out of his supporters and him

The fact is Trump has huge problems in the general election.

If so, that would be magnitudes more intelligent than Ted Cruz's boasting, which blew up in his face.

Why else to you think Ted Cruz took such a prodigious tumble in the polls after Wisconsin, hmmmmmm?

Ted Cruz has lost. He has now been mathematically eliminated. He has as much chance of being the nominee as Jeb Bush, perhaps less. His only fantasy is to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

As Newt Gingrich so aptly noted, that's simply not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe is that stupid.

Vote Trump

Oh I believe Donald Trump is going to probably be the nominee.
I also believe he’s going to conduct himself the same way in the general election as he has in the primary election.

Nope - yet his supporters point out how "more people have voted against Trump than for him" without seeming to realize that it's even more true of their guy.

When I pointed that out to one of them (talking popular vote), and that in our system, one doesn't need a majority or even a plurality to win, one jumped the shark and "splained to me" that one did require a majority of delegate votes so I was pushing crap. Didn't even bother pointing out that the previous topic had been actual voters and was due to a false meme by one of those on his side of things.... They will ignore anything and twist any situation to try to justify their guy - it seems to be fraying some of them around the edges to have to turn their backs on so many of their stated principles to keep backing Cruz.

You are not getting it.

In Colorado, ANY REGISTERED REPUBLICAN that shows up to their precinct can run for and be elected as precinct captain, state representative or alternate.

These are mom and pop grass roots republicans who, if they can convince their neighbors to vote for them, represent their precinct at the state convention.

Well, just take a look at the Cruz campaign video where Ted easily lies about his mom.

Nobody has claimed Cruz has been 100% truthful

That’s why I used the phrase more often than not

When you get out of puberty, hopefully your compression development will improve

So 51% truth, 49% lies. I apologize then. You were extremely accurate.

Snappy comeback

Did you come up with that percentage from a credible source, your own feeble mind, or did Trump tell you that and command you repeat it?

My opinion? I suspect it’s a combo of the second and third

I am getting it, you are not. The party made it intentionally complicated and difficult for normal people to vote because they did not want regular voters to choose. They even cancelled the customary straw poll because they knew Trump would probably win it. That is why only 60K out of 1+ million Colorado republicans actually voted. The Colorado GOP tweeted “We Did It! #NeverTrump” after the convention. They claimed the account was hacked, it turned out that was a lie. The fix was in and it was rigged against Trump, on purpose, by the GOPe hacks for Jeb! originally but they decided to give it to Ted Bush after Jeb! dropped out. There was nothing fair about it but that won’t stop Calgary Ted from bragging about winning rigged contests like that. The fact still remains that out of 26 contests decided by voters so far Cruz has won only 4. He does well in conventional and caucuses where it is easier for his GOPe buddies to rig it for him but Cruz has repeatedly demonstrated he does very poorly in voter decided elections. That is simply a fact.

What you are not getting is that we republicans in Colorado THREW OUT our previous primary system for two major reasons. The first being the national GOP party bosses were using that system to reduce or eliminate LOCAL control of the party. The second and in my opinion the lesser of the two was for costs.

No the CO party did not cancel the NON-BINDING customary straw poll because of who they thought might win. They canceled it because the NATIONAL party said that any such poll had to be binding on the delegates. That is what the party used to institute control over the local party back in 1988 when Colorado switched from the caucus system that had been in place since 1912. So no, we are not going back to national control over our local party.

What you dont understand is the intensity of the dislike for Trump. Out here in the west we see him as a fast talking used car sales man who will say anything to get elected. He has a history of hiring illegals, supporting Clinton, bad mouthing the Reagan tax cuts, supporting the assault weapons band and not fighting for the pro life cause. To many of us, that makes Trump not much better than Hillary and certainly not a conservative. Where Trump tends to do well is in states that are not conservative and/or allow democrats to cross over and vote for him.

Cruz doing his “victory dance” over voterless Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota was both stupid and disgusting. For years I served & fought overseas as a US Army combat Infantryman. I’d be livid if I was one of my military brothers or sisters from Colorado, Wyoming, or North Dakota.

So go do your victory dance & celebrate Ted, because those serving in the US military from these states who protect your backside every day were denied the right to vote.

So, how do you explain the “We did it. #NeverTrump.” tweet by the state GOP right after the convention and then the party lying about it? That sure does make it look like they rigged it, doesn’t it? http://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/colorado-gop-nevertrump-tweet-221766
I heard Rush Limbaugh say the Colorado GOP changed the process in August specifically to prevent a Trump win and to help Jeb!. I believe his show is also where I heard the straw poll information I posted to you. I think I will believe what I heard more than I believe you. You can believe what you want but so can I. Good day.
