Vending machines and food might conjure up some negative images:
-Shaking the machine when your potato chips get stuck.
-Not the best options for dining.

Hows this for a treat? A TCBY yogurt with Oreo crumbs. It starts with a touch screen where you choose sizes, flavors and toppings. No, an army of oompa loompas isnt inside the big box. Its a robotic assembly line.

It doesn’t cost that much... The people that owned my house prior to me converted the garage... I turned it into a theater... Projector cost 1500... Screen cost 250 and I already had a DTS stereo with Klipsch 5.1 speaker set-up... threw in a couple recliners and I never go to the movies anymore...
I have a 400 dollar laptop and I’ve stopped going to the movies :)

I know you can get a pretty decent set up for far less. A 4k player, nice screen, and a surround system and a comfortable chair can all be had for under $5 grand, but a lot of people like the movie experience and pay a lot to have it.

Anyone know of any publicly-traded vending machine companies? Seems like the new minimum wage laws are creating a great opportunity to invest.
I think about the automated kitchens, particularly the vending machine scenario, and I just think “cockroach heaven.” A crumb here, a grease splatter there....
But...but...we need more immigrants and $15/hr minimum wage!
Thirty years ago I used a vending machine in a state park that would not just drop a can of beefaroni, but it would be hot - and instead of straws it had a holder full of spoons. Brilliant!
