It took awhile to notice. Yes, I've been posting to articles for a long time. Yet, today I noticed a mild type of propaganda as I posted a reply to an article.
Each time that I typed koran my computer prompted me to capitalize it. However when I typed Bible, un-capitalized, there was no such prompt. Why?
Then I typed islam and Christian as a test and there it was again, 'the prompt'.
A prompt was given to capitalize islam but no such prompt for Christian.
This.......must stop. A demand to hold the so-called religion of islam above the true religion of our Christian Bible is a subtle form of propaganda.
There is no mention of Bible in the Bible.
um... because the bible didn’t exist as it was written.
what we think of as the bible (or more specifically the new testament) is just a collection of random letters a bunch of catholics decided stood a notch above other letters from the same time period and then voted to assemble them into what we call the New Testament today.
Yet the Bible is a book and therefore must be capitalized. How do you justify capitalizing islam but not Christian?

And the Protestants kicked out all Catholics and called those letters the Word of God?
Holy Bible is capitalized.

I think Christian Bale is capitalized.
If you use Christian as a noun, it is capitalized. If you used Christian as an adjective, you do not (unless it is the first word of the sentence). Basic grammer, I think.
Besides, “that was so islam of you” does not pack as good a punch as “that was so christian of you”. Just my humble opinion.
Why is THE PROMPT in caps?
The word bible is used in other contexts than just the Holy Bible. For example, you could get a golf bible which tells you everything you need to know about a nice walk spoiled by a little white ball.
Yes it is but there is no prompt to capitalize Holy Bible.
It’s because the Bible is a bible.
There is no prompt for The Longest Day yet it is a proper noun.
But yes, many denominations of protestants consider/considered the final chosen letters to be infallible, and by extension the people who picked those letter over others to be infallible, but then left the catholic church because they didn't think the pope was infallible.
Conversely, the koran is Toilet Paper.

The above represent the auto correct capitalizations, I’m sensing some pro Aggie bias....
Maybe you just need to adjust which words are and aren’t recognized in the dictionary of whichever program you’re using. If “Islam” is in the dictionary in Word (or whatever other program) but “islam” is not, make the change yourself and save the change for future typing. Same with “bible”, “Bible” and any other words you have an issue with.
Or am I missing a larger point?
No one can tell me why all things islam gets a prompt to capitalize but no prompt for anything Christian.
Bible can mean simoly an important kind of book in English. Although when we say the Bible meaning the Christian scriptures it should be capitized, we would not if we say the Camel Book is kind of a bible of Perl. Christian is an adjective so not capitized. Christianity should be as a specific proper name. Koran and Islam are specific names. Now Islam and the Koran are horrible...but that doesn’t matter for capitalization. We even capitilize Hitler and Stalin because they are proper names. Even Hilary Clinton is capitilized!
