I remember when the David Duke kerfluffle first happened with Trump, and Ted Cruz, instead of doing the right thing, jumped on the GOPe bandwagon, piled on Trump, and played the race card.
That was the first big red flag I saw from Ted Cruz during his campaign. It was totally wrongheaded and Machiavellian.
Eric Erickson, by elaborating on the whole smear, shows no decency whatsoever.

This morning Trump was asked about uniting the party. He said he wants to unite most of it. Not all of it. There’s some support he doesn’t want. Who? People who said mean things about him.

I’m still trying to figure out what Trump wants for this country is somehow not conservative. What have the so-called conservatives done for us lately, besides stab us in the back.
We have come to the current point in conservative history by acquiescing to the Marxists in small steps. Why should we not look at regaining “originalist conservatism” in small steps?
If, at this time, Trump is the first few steps in the right direction, in what way does our Constitutional Republic suffer?
