Apple, if you're serious about being 'good citizens' you'd fix the conditions you force workers over there to endure and pay them a competitive wage the same as an American would make. You're exploitive, and it's sick. Don't be a bunch of globalist hypocrites.

First: All US PC makers boxes and many phones are made and assembled in China.
Second: The wages paid to Chinese workers are among the highest in China. Apple is the leader in improving lives, conditions, and wages in China.
Third: Loss of those jobs by some sort of boycott would force the workers to return to the country side as they would not be allowed to remain in the city. Chinese law.
Fourth: Living in the country is like living in Hell only with no hope no future just abject poverty.
But by all means use a cheap phone running Android so you can be constantly tracked and advertised to by Google.

When Apple issued its fatwa against North Carolina regarding the use of bathrooms,, we decided we will never buy another Apple product. Our son loves his Samsung phone and that is what we will buy in the future. We also quit using Pay Pal and Bank of America. I have a smart phone with bells and whistles and it was listed at 119.00. And I use an radio app to pick up conservative radio hosts who are being dropped by local stations for more rock and roll and hillbilly music. So be it. If you go to Home Depot, and Lowe’s the Ariens snowblower and riding mowers are made by Husqvarna’s Arnold Yard Products Division (AYP) that make many of the garbage lawnmowers that are available at the Big Box stores, last a few times and than you have to buy another
I do just that. And save money in the hundreds by not playing the name game. Works fine for me.
