I’ve been in New York this morning to attend a meeting organized by Dr. Ben Carson and others who invited Donald J. Trump to speak to evangelical Christian leaders from across the country. Governor Mike Huckabee was moderator and Mr. Trump answered questions on a wide range of issues.
Dr. James Dobson asked the first question–he asked Mr. Trump what he would do concerning religious liberty issues. Mr. Trump said the number one thing he could do for religious liberty would be to appoint great Supreme Court justices and he reminded everyone that the next president could appoint up to five Supreme Court justices. That's incredibly important for the future of our nation.
Ronnie Floyd, the outgoing president of the Southern Baptist Convention, asked what he would do to address poverty, crime, and racial tensions. Mr. Trump said that he felt like the best thing he could do would be to create jobs for Americans and that would have a great impact.
David Jeremiah asked how Trump would support Israel. Mr. Trump said that Israel is our number one friend in the Middle East and that the Iran deal was a disaster–he said he would stand with Israel. Others ask good questions as well, and we prayed together for America.
This year’s election is critical for our nation—we’re at a turning point. I’m not endorsing any candidates, but I am going to all 50 states holding prayer rallies with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association #DecisionAmericaTour.
Thousands in every state have come out to their capitol to stand together in prayer for their state and for the nation. Our only hope is God. Now I’m on my way to Washington where I will be on Fox News On The Record with Greta Van Susteren for her 7:00 (ET) program tonight. I hope you’ll watch and let me know what you think.

He did use Christ to get votes. He constantly gave the mantra that Christians should vote for him because he was a Christian. The talking points of Beck, his wife and father all were similar. That is using Christ to get votes. Even on here we were told that only ‘true Christians’ would support Cruz not someone else.
He is a phony Christian, he campaigned using lies and deceptions and then made excuses that he only hired dishonest people. At best that shows a lack of discernment to the level of calling his faith into question.
He doesn’t live out his faith in public - that was obvious from his campaign. We are to judge people by their actions, esp those who claim to be believers and Cruz’s actions show his faith is lacking.
I am far from ignorant. I know the different and have a ministry that focuses on such discernment. It is a shame you fell for Cruz’s lies.

No, the first thing Mr. Trump should do is tell the black-robed fascists that, under the US Constitution, judges cannot write or nullify laws. Judges write opinions. Period. Opinions have no force of law. Only a legislature can write laws. Judges have usurped powers they have no right to. It’s time for impeaching, removing and severely punishing judges who act otherwise, including charges against them of sedition and treason.
You should be ashamed for propping up men who cower in the face of mere words. For the love of the Holy, their lives aren’t even on the line. They won’t be tortured for supporting Trump.
But their livelihoods are on the line.
