I don’t think the cases are the same at all. I doubt anyone else will either. If he sent classified emails over the unclassified server which happens from time to time, id side wit him on a lesser or no punishment. but stealing photos of the ship? Nope!!!!

The classification was “confidential”? In my day that was applied to stuff that wasn’t very secret but you didn’t want publicly available. That’s nothing compared to what Hillary was dealing with.
Clinton should have been fried for what she did, there is no arguing that. But excusing anyone else because of her getting off is insane. Everyone with a clearance signed the non disclosure agreement. They all know the penalties for screwing up. They all take the refresher training. There is no excuse. This sailor is Petty Officer 1st Class E-6. He knows better as an NCO. He is expected to hold his sailors accountable and he must be held accountable. Fry his a$$.

So you would be ok with everyone mishandling classified material and getting off scott free? It pisses me off to no end that Hillary got away with what she did, but allowing others to use that as a defense will destroy the system. There will be no control of classified items, documents or weapons systems.
I ran into a sailor in Sasebo several years ago who was wearing an almost marine uniform. Brown shirt, blue pants but he had a crow on the left sleeve.
I didn’t ask where that uniform came from or anything else, so, yes. They’ve changed so much, like you, I don’t know.
