Neither Lincoln nor Franklin Roosevelt were reluctant about firing or demoting incompetent generals. Not that I wish another Civil War or World War II on America, but I believe Trump is of a like mind as these two wartime Presidents with respect of requiring military competence. Also, Lincoln and Roosevelt did not tie the hands of their generals or admirals.
I would hope that trump would restore this great man.

If they had all resigned that would have been proof that there is still honor, integrity and a sense of ethics among the officer corps. Of course none of those antiquated concepts has any place in 21st century America.
Where is that list of top brass that has been fired or forced to step down since 0bama has been in?
We would have had heroes to look up to! In times past, when a general or admiral resigned rather than take a direction that violated his honor, the world knew why. The whole point of his resignation was widely known and pressure was forced on the government to remedy the reasons that caused him to leave.
Instead, we have had the Obama regime force stupid and destructive policies on the services and those General/Flag officers who did resist were forced out quietly, some through exposure of some stupidity they had in their past and most with the implicit threat that their retirement and the potential follow-on employment would be damaged if they spoke out.
Those that didn't resist or maybe helped with the perverse new directions are still in place, their careers secure so far. They either don't have the capacity to lead combat forces with any talent or they themselves are perverts enjoying the new environment.
Either way, they need to be gone.
Thanks didnt know that....I think Trump should have taken his time, and made the specific point that Obama is tying the militaries hands. That any problems we see during this period should be laid and Obama’s feet and his alone.
Just not good politics to speak about military leaders in a negative way. Just another one of those things I wish Trump didnt say.
