Thanks, Hillary!
To remind us once again of the failed "Auto Bailout", for using massive amount of taxpayer money to pay out the Unions, to shaft the bond holders, to arbitrarily close out dealerships that don't donate to Dem party, etc. etc. ......
Trump camp ought to be able to come back with this one HRC soundbite.

Over-regulation of the Product and Labor used to make said product is what caused the auto industry to fail....
But Hillary is too stupid to realize that...

Crooked simply has no idea about creating wealth by adding value. The GM bailout was a crime against rule of law.

The auto industry would be doing better if GM renegotiated bankruptcy and got rid of the AFL-CIO.

This woman is so despicable, so evil, so motivated by her thirst for power, that even the dog catcher on Baffin Island would be preferable to this crooked fool. Get a life rabid libs, remove the veil from your eyes to see what pure corruption and evil looks like.

It is clear what Clinton’s strategy (which includes CNN, etc.) is going forward ... information overload to keep Trump responding ...

Yep... she’s given up on Ohio... appearances and ads non-stop... if this is giving up, I’d hate to see what it’s like if she’s engaged... how could so many of you have fallen for that BS! This witch has almost unlimited funds- she won’t cede any state within 10 points

The recession would have ended 6 years ago if the bailout never happened. Tell us how great the Auto Industry has done under Obama/Clinton.
Pray America wakes

Agreed... she is all of that... but many millions won’t know that because Trump has refused ads and was unable or unwilling to hammer her in front of 86 million viewers!

Notice how the articles starts off with "her" economic plan, but the she immediately attacks Trump.

The auto industry wouldn't have 'failed'.
They would have gone through a chapter 11, reorganized, and come back stronger than they are now.
What they did instead: came back with the same structural costs as before. So, it's just a matter of time before it happens again.
Several big differences:
- a chapter 11 reorganization would have also lifted the UAW's stranglehold on the US auto industry. Union contracts would have been renegotiated.
- GM and Chrysler's secured debt holders would have gotten more than pennies on the dollar (a flagrant violation of US bankruptcy law).
- The UAW wouldn't have gotten a giant giveaway in GM and Chrysler stock. They would have had to get in line with the rest of GM and Chrysler shareholders.
- The US Treasury wouldn't be short about $10 billion (the difference between what was loaned to GM, and what was recovered by selling the Treasury's share of GM stock).
The auto "company" bailout was actually an auto union bailout. The auto companies are in worse shape now than if they had gone through a real chapter 11.
To: Sir Napsalot
The main reason I won’t buy a Detroit car is unions.
They cost too much over the relative value
