Thoughts on a Post Presidency Barack Obama
Gun Watch ^ | 21 november, 2016 | Dean Weingarten

President Barack Obama has been hinting, quite strongly, that he will be active in politics after he leaves the Presidency.  He is relatively young, so he can be expected to be around for two to three decades. In spite of most ex-presidents staying out of the political sphere, with some exceptions by Presidents Carter and Clinton, this activity will be quite unusual.  But I do not expect it to be a bad thing for the Republic.  Here is why:

The Democrats have built him into a cult of personality that makes Bill Clinton look pale (pun intended).  The party will not be able to resist his takeover, now that the Clinton machine has been discredited with the defeat of Hillary Clinton.

The Democrat party will move even further to the left under Barack.  His appeal will only be reduced as he no longer has the full power and status of the Presidency.  The establishment media will gradually grow tired of his harangues, that will not be tempered by a bevy of advisers and speechwriters, and kept on track by teleprompters.  Barack is already famous for gaffes when he goes impromptu, and he will be doing that much more frequently as a private party.

Barack will take the Democrat party down to a minority party status.

The establishment media has lost control of the narrative with the election of Donald Trump.  The technological arrow has been pointing in this direction for two decades now, and there is no reason to believe it will reverse anytime soon.

Barack has never been one to easily take outside counsel.  He will not let the Democrat part move toward the center. This will continue for decades.

No one will be able to say no to the affirmative action president, and his false assumptions about reality will drive the Democrats to further defeats.

Good luck, as head of the Democrat Party, Mr. President!

President Obama has had the limelight for eight years. He loves it. He craves the adulation, the hanging on of every word. He will be the face of the Democrat party.

He may even try to return to the Senate in 2018.

He’ll claim residency in Maryland. The current Senate seat is held by a 73 year-old, I’m sure the DNC will allow him to “retire” to make way.

Two terms was not enough? Rejection by voters was a lesson not learned?
People saw his “transformation “ as something to fear because he still hates America and American values....experience showed voters were correct.

Message to Obama: Please leave us quietly.

Maybe so. But I really don’t think his ego could take it.

Trump needs to deport this America-hating, racist agitator.

The only reason he might not is because with all the Democrat Senate seats up in 2018, they don’t have a good chance of taking the Senate, and Obama would want to be Majority Leader if he returned to the Senate.

Bet on him winning his old Senate seat in IL. This will effectively keep the Dems in a fragmented minority for the next 20 years. I can die happy.

He will not go quietly into the night is my prediction. The tradition of presidents not criticizing their successors will not be followed by Obama.

The legacy of the United States of America is at least 50x more important than the legacy of one of its Presidents. Barack Obama’s legacy will be that he was the first African-American to be elected POTUS. His legacy will not be decided by “educators” and “journalists” and there is nothing the mainstream media can do or say to change that. Soon, they will all become reacquainted with objectivity and fairness in their reporting, making it possible for their industry to survive the tainted and unprofessional image it projects of itself.

No Senate elections for Illinois until 2020. Maryland makes more sense if he wants to return in 2018.

Does anyone have access to the secret memos that the cryin’, whinin’ libs have access to? Appartently the incoming administration is planning on outlawing gays, plans on, not only deporting 11 or 12 million trespasser, but also intends to send all non whites back where they came from. And start dumping toxic waste in all the rivers and lakes staring 1/21/2017. Or something. These assclowns are truly over the edge. The msm continues to perp falsehoods, fear and loathing like there ain’t no tomorrow. Add to that the lyin’ king and his back handed statements while out of the country that the new admin bears watching since they don’t know what they’re doing. No wonder Trump won.

Illinois makes more sense...

It would give him a base in Chicago with his old pals.

Saul Alinsky demands full,life-long,obedience to his commands.Obola is nothing if not obedient to the commands of those that he worships.

We can only hope for a massive, lethal stroke on 1/21/17.After all,in this racist society men "of color" are particularly prone to such events...at a young age.

As a Md native I could not imagine a more likely or a more horrid turn of events. That would assuredly bring about the final separation of the Eastern Shore (and Allegheny county)from the rest of the state.

Ex-Presidents should be seen and not heard.

Especially this one.

Obama will be like herpes. He won’t go away.

Every time something in the world goes wrong, the media will won’t his opinion on it. He will be able to offer his opinion with 20/20 hindsight. The media will try to make him look so brilliant as they’ve done throughout his career.

Hopefully he won’t be like soros and hang around forever.
