Children traumatized by 2016 Election, with “profoundly negative effect”

Good grief:

A new report from the Southern Poverty Law Center showed children have been negatively impacted by the election, with kids' classroom climate suffering drastically.

The Monday report, which surveyed 10,000 teachers across the U.S., found many students were experiencing higher anxiety and there were more reported cases of "verbal harassment, the use of slurs and derogatory language, and disturbing incidents involving swastikas, Nazi salutes and Confederate flags."

According to the survey's findings, nine out of 10 educators saw a negative impact on students' mood and behavior after the election. Eight out of 10 educators reported higher anxiety by marginalized students.

Half of educators said they heard students targeting each other based on who they would have voted for.

You know who I blame? The parents for scare-mongering their children. Let alone for raising the safe space generation.

Cue the violins and read the nauseating angst and melodrama:

Who's responsible? Teachers who lack the self-awareness to see their own bias for what it is, and passing their beliefs on to impressionable students.

Who's to be held accountable? Much of mainstream media for pushing the narrative of Trump as the second-coming of Hitler.

It's not like Bush's election wasn't without protest.

Remember Bushitler? The Democratic Underground and Kos Kiddie-types figured the Bush regime would declare Martial Law and keep himself in power beyond his 2nd term; Infowars readers predicted an Obama third term. FEMA camps? 1.6 billion rounds purchase by Homeland Security? Yeah, to do what? Hysteria. Distortions. Conspiracy. Paranoia.

As my kids so adroitly pointed out, no one gave a fig about the kids when Obama won or the 8 years of hell he put them through. If Hillary had won would there be all this concern for anguished children?

It’s more like the teachers in the classrooms feel negatively impacted.

These children were “traumatized” by their idiot parents and teachers.

Southern Poverty Law Center

When is the MSM going to learn that the so-called Southern Poverty Law Center is not a go-to site for factual information, but a hate group?

The SPLC's listing of the Family Research Council on its "hate group" list almost got Tony Perkins + the staff of the FRC murdered.

What this clearly demonstrates is the distorted values that the teachers, doing the reporting, have instilled in the susceptible in their classes.

Why is this clear? Because the attitude of the children, that they claim, is completely at variance with what American youth in any earlier age would have gotten from the election. Consider:

Donald Trump, as a total underdog, took on both the establishment in his own party and that in the present Administration, vowing to put America First. The whole genre of heroic images in America, past, have celebrated the brave loner, who took on the enemies, bullies--or whatever--of various threats; and triumphed over adversity; the adequate man or sometimes women, who stood "tall" as it were, in the face of almost insurmountable odds, and triumphed.

While I put this in an American context, it is the same concept as the historic legends in Europe of Horatio at the bridge; Roland & Oliver in the Pyrenees; or Braveheart, in Scotland, when he was still winning. Returning to America, it conjures up the spirit of the James Stewart character in "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington."

Trump emerges as a hero to all who recognize what was actually at stake--something of which, unfortunately, many public school teachers are completely ignorant.

I was reluctant to say this but since Trump won our small town has had two city trucks picking up dead kids 24 x 7 and averaging around 7 a day. They are mostly dying from fright and some from perceived bullying ...

Be glad you're not in Chicago. Ever since the election the KKK and the Nazi Party, both in full regalia, have been night riding on the South and West sides killing innocent young black males, about 8 per week, and shooting another one or two hundred. Oops, looks like it's the YBMs who're actually doing it to each other. Now, how could that be???

My kid could pretty much care less. Why? He's a kid. Apolitical. He'll have the rest of his adult life to worry about politics. Meanwhile, he needs to focus on being a kid.

I have a special dark spot in my heart for adults who politicize children. Even - perhaps especially - if I agree with their politics.
