And a Louis Pappas salad :)
We’re about 40 minutes from Tarpon Springs and it was one of my favorite places to visit when I was a kid. All the stores and the sponge exchange were just fun.

I love Tarpon Springs. Great food, great bakeries and interesting shops in their tourist area.

Where I had my first (and best) gyro.
Sadly, Tarpon isn't what it once was.

I use wool sponges from Tarpon Springs nearly every day.
Love it there.

My Greek grandfather was a cliff diver in Greece (early 1900s).

I lived in Tarpon Springs as a child. My family is soooooo Greek!

Good Greek food and wonderful seafood. My boat, a Stamas was built there. Sometimes these sponge boats have these sponges left out before they’re cleaned and man can they stink to high heaven!
