My condolences. My Mom joined my Dad and her parents, brother and sister in Heaven on Thanksgiving Day.

It is a shock I’m sure and my condolences go to you. Time will not erase the hurt but it will push it down.
As we rationalize the inevitability of death we think of many things. It is too early for you but in time you will rationalize as you accept. When that time comes be grateful she died peacefully in her sleep and that when she closed her eyes last night she knew she was loved and you were near. Not like my Dad who struggled and fought evey step of the way until he passed as I held his hand and he could only give me a squeeze as his life ended. Or my Mom who is healthy as a horse but can’t walk and whose mind is failing so fast. If she could simply fade in her sleep it would be merciful to her I think. I can’t bathe her, toilet her, or tend to her needs so othes must and as that goes on there is no joy in Christmas or any other thing as the image of her in the nrusing home haunts my mind on the surface or as a steady undercurrent to the rythm of life with my wife, children and grandchildren.
Yes, you have prayers offered on your behalf but be grateful God has been merciful. As terrible as it is it is all natural and intended in God’s plan of course and her time has come as will mine and yours and all of ours.
You have my prayers of condolence and support. Take care.
May it be His Will to comfort you at this most trying time!
