This is exactly the issue. These people need psychiatric help. And when they seek a surgical solution, they have only compounded the problem, because the underlying mental issue has never been dealt with, and now they can never be physically the same as before. It's just a really sad situation. If the loony toon left would stop enabling these people, they might get the professional help they so desperately need.
