Art of the Deal?
The Mexican Peso has had a brutal year. The closer Trump got to winning, and the more likely his victory seemed, the further it’s value fell. In fact, immediately after Trump’s victory, Mexico’s currency plummeted a staggering 11%.
The country’s currency hit a new record low as votes were being tallied, suffering an 11% drop. By early Wednesday morning, the peso regained some ground but it was still down more than 9%.
How you say, “Please, sir! May I pay for your wall?” in Mexicanish?
Sounds like a good time for Americans to short sell the peso and bankrupt Mexico. Then Trump needs to executive order the immediate 50% withholding on all Western Union and Moneygram remittances to Mexico. That will pay for the wall and then some considering some $26 billion in remittances gets sent south of the border.

Negotiation 101. Understand who is at the other end of the table. What do they want? What do you want? What are their must haves? What are their easy giveaways? What are yours. Mexico does not have much of a hand to play and they know it.
Trump should say “f—k you, we’ll just send you the bill in the mail”.

Trump is playing hardball with the Mexican Caudillos in a way no American President has since Eisenhower.
He’s got their number now and they know it.
They are being put into a corner where he holds all the cards and will tell them the game is over: stop pushing your populace into our country and trying to rule us or we bankrupt you and cause a rebellion by your desperate people.
This is incredibly humiliating for the pretentious garbage that runs Mexico but they are going to have to get straight with him. They understand. Hardball is what they live by.
A militarized border would be a good next step just to let them know how we really feel about them screwing with us the last 30 years.
But I’m sure Don knows how he plans to play the cards.
After all, he is Trump.
I know what Mexico should do. They should really play hardball. you know, threaten the US and smear Trump in their media. That is the record for success. Bring America and Trump the their knees and force us to continue to support them all the while keep absorbing the illegal, drugs, criminals, etc.
That’s the winning solution.

The Mexican ruling class knows it has no leverage in any negotiation with the U.S. All the bluster from Nieto is for domestic consumption. He’s got to at least try to look tough to his people, but he knows he doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
Mexico needs us, but we don’t need them in any way. That country is a net drain on our people and our resources.
If they know whats good for them, they’ll come to the bargaining table with hat in hand, and take whatever crumbs President Trump is willing to give them.
