Have you ever been in downtown Los Angeles? I have been there MANY times, especially in the wholesale district. One thing about downtown L.A. is that you have to have situational awareness and be on alert at all times. Why? Because that area is chock full of people who are drunks, drug addicts, or flat out insane. In many cases they are all three. In fact it was rare to visit that area without seeing at least one case of outright lunacy. So the fact that another one of those downtown lunatics was in the news is no surprise. What makes this different is that the DUmmies, so desperate to prove that Trump supporters are perpetrating hate crimes especially since all the real hate comes come from the left such as at Berkeley, that they have now glommed onto a downtown lunatic story and converted it into a "Hate Crime" by a Trump supporter. To see how ridiculous this is, first let us read the story about this at KTLA 5:
Video shows the victim walking down a sidewalk as another woman runs up from behind and then shoves her to the ground.
The attacker continues to run away from the scene as bystanders rush to assist the injured woman.
The victim suffered a one-inch gash on her left cheek and had pain in her knee after the fall, police told the Los Angeles Times.
A Good Samaritan ran after the suspected attacker, who initially told police her name was Patty Garcia, but fingerprints later identified her as Alexis Duvall, the Times reported.
According to investigators, the suspect was yelling obscenities and appeared to be under the influence or mentally ill at the time of her arrest, the Times reported.
She was being held on $50,000 bail.
A social media post shared by Facebook user Linda Lee following the attack suggested the attacker yelled “white power” before fleeing, however police have said that no one at the scene reported hearing that.
So the whole "hate crime" routine started with a posting on Facebook...NOT with anything that actually happened. In addition, you can see the KTLA video which shows the woman running like a loon and shoving the elderly Korean just because she was there. And from this, the DUmmies are turning this nothingburger into a "Hate Crime" crusade as you can see in their THREAD, "Korean grandmother, 83, is 'punched in the head by woman, 27, screaming white power' in downtown LA." So let us now watch the DUmmies match the downtown lunatic's lunacy with their own lunacy in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, having flashbacks of downtown L.A. lunatics, is in the [brackets]:

I was at a LAX hotel back in the 80’s and me and a couple others were walking down the street to get some beer.
This dude comes up with his long coat and watches and sizes us up. We are all over 6’ and have a strong southern drawl.
He wants to sell a watch. We tell him to get away from us.
He backs up and says don’t kill me. We just continued on.
It was kinda funny.

I have been in downtown LA many times. Situational Awareness is a must there 24/7. Lots of meth heads there at all hours of the day and night.

But here's the issue I have with the whole ‘hate crime’ tag which liberals love to banter about (unless it is the ever more common attacks by minorities on others.) I don't like any form of dual judicial system - if you hit someone, you should be punished for hitting someone.
Saying that you hit them because you hated them - I mean, what, is this supposed to be some form of endearment? Of course you hate them, YOU HIT THEM. The reasons why it was done should only matter for mitigation; perhaps you were justified in hitting them because they were running around pushing down 85 year old Korean grandmas.
Really, we need to sweep out all these infinite expansions and exceptions in the laws. It is all part of the social justice warrior's toolkit. Make every law ever more specific (and ambiguously broad) so that you can randomly make anything into a crime and assign whatever punishment you want to.
