Not Prepared: Will Most Americans Be Absolutely Blindsided By Multiple Wars

FULL TITLE: Not Prepared: Will Most Americans Be Absolutely Blindsided By Multiple Wars And A Simultaneous Economic Collapse?

According to CBS News, an astounding three-fourths of all Americans have to “scramble to cover their living costs” each month. In other words, most of the country is either living paycheck to paycheck or very close to it. But instead of tightening their belts and trying to put something away for the very hard times that are coming, most Americans are completely and utterly unprepared for what is ahead because the people that they trust on television keep telling them that everything is going to be okay.

Unfortunately, everything is not going to be “okay”, and when things start falling apart all around us there is going to be a lot of anger directed toward those that have been lulling everyone into a false sense of security.

One of the reasons why I am sounding the alarm so loudly is so that people will not be blindsided by the things that are about to happen to this country. As you will see below, we are on the precipice of two major wars, conditions are ripe for a devastating economic collapse, and if you were to throw in a major natural disaster or two you would have a recipe for the kind of “perfect storm” that many have been warning about.

What are they even talking about? We’ve been constantly at war since 2001

If Mr. Trump solves the Korea problem don’t you think it will be done swiftly? The war never ended. He ends it and it becomes South Koreas problem. It then frees up 28k troops(US) to deal with other issues.

Ludicrous article. What media is he listening to? Certainly the RATmedia is not claiming everything will be okay. Just the opposite in fact since Adolf Trump has seized power with the aid of the Rooskies.

War and economic collapse only occurs it loser is invaded. It stimulates economic activity in the US.

Wishful thinking by the mainstream media to scared the weak minded voters. I’m sure many here will fall for it. Just waiting to see them start commenting.

We’ve been constantly at war since 2001

You would have preferred we didn't go to Afghanistan and stay there to battle terrorist threats?

“If Mr. Trump solves the Korea problem...”

Thought we were talking about Syria. Recent history teaches us that regime changes are never as easy as they seem. The resulting power vacuum is always messy. But if he can get the Chinese to cooperate nobody in the world is going to miss Kim Jong Un. Except, unfortunately, possible his people. I have heard stories that they are fairly well brainwashed and somewhat fanatical.

Unless I miss my guess, the president has no intention of going to war. He does however, intend to give anyone pondering how to further weaken us, food for serious contemplation.

The previous president walked and talked softly, and carried no stick, lest cutting down a tree cause a climate disturbance.

“What are they even talking about? We’ve been constantly at war since 2001”

Yes, but our single most fearsome (upfront) enemy was Iraq. How did that go? We crushed Iraq in a matter of days. We’ve had more protracted fights with terrorists, of course, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.

This article is talking about much larger wars than against Al-Qaeda or ISIS. A war with Russia, or China, or North Korea or Iran, or two or more at one time could be a huge and bloody disaster. We are woefully unprepared and, as a people, we simply do not have the will to fight much of anyone. We can lob tomahawks at tin horn dictators, but a real war where hundreds of thousands of troops might get involved, whole fleets of ships, we are just not ready for that.

A war with any of the countries I listed would make Iraq and Afghanistan look like a cake walk.

I just said we have been there since 2001, I didn’t say whether that was good or bad.

No, I think thorvaldr was saying we’ve been at war for 16 years and there’s been no economic collapse due to those wars so the premise of the article could be called into question. I think the article, however, is talking about potentially HUGE wars not wars like we’ve had since 2001.

Oh REAL wars! It’s ridiculous to think that Trump is going to want to fight Russia or China. Definitely less of a concern than if Clinton had won.

I have 2 questions on any war
1) do I agree with the president’s stated objective?
(and (1a) does congress agree with me)
2) are we going full speed for that objective?

If I don’t agree (point 1) the I’m against it. I’ll go with congres (other voters - 1a) if they’re against it even if I disagree with them but I want contress to vote by name.
If the president overrides generals (point 2) we shouldn’t be in it

That’s a mighty broad definition of the word “we”. If “we” had to serve, or even pay for these wars in any other way than putting it on the national credit card, “we” wouldn’t be entangled in these foreign messes.

The Left certainly had no problem committing ALL of us to street wars against each other, endlessly.
