>You can’t go by 2016 results when predicting 2018 elections. Trump was an unknown campaigner in 2016, and many Republicans, swayed by the constant media attacks, left the presidential ballot blank and only voted for their down-ballot reps.
>

Urban myth. 92% of Republicans voted Trump. That’s essentially the same as Romney and McCain had.

92% of Dems voted Hillary, btw.

This mythical stuff about who abandoned who is an example of anecdotes overwhelmed by numbers. George Will loudly opposed Trump. 92% of the GOP did not, and that is the usual number.

That “give conservatism a try because it wins every time it’s tried” stuff IS WRONG. PROVEN WRONG. Sharon Angle was the right wing hard core type that Harry Reid owed his last term to. Any reasonable GOP candidate would have taken him out. She lost. She was too conservative for a left moving state.

I’ve been to one of her events, donated. I met with her staffers as soon as I got here last year. Offered several times to help, but got no response.

She has two problems, 1) she’s from Havasu City, not Phoenix, so getting her name out is important in Phoenix, and 2) money. McCain crushed her with attack ads. I’d see 2-3 an hour here in Phoenix. She had no way to respond.

She moved to Phoenix and has been doing events, but honestly, I don’t know what the impact has been. I THINK she could be doing a better job of building up her name-—but I don’t know and I’m not a campaign manager.

She has started really early so she could keep some of the leftover 2016 campaign money. The bad news is that it tends to make her look like she’s perpetually running for office.

No, you get your head on straight. I’ve been posting the registration numbers since November. Rs have outregistered Ds by 30%, and the margin grows every month. Ward came closer to beating McTurd than Kirkpatrick did.

Ward can beat any Dem out there, but the issue is Flake, just as it was McTurd in 16.

AZ is still solidly conservative and will be solidly red in the near future. Ward can beat Flake, but needs to do a few things. Flake MUST be removed or he’ll be another McTurd in a few years-—impossible to remove.

I’ll do what I can to fight Flake. Kelly Ward gives us a reasonable good shot at doing so. She’ll get my support till the day of primary voting. If she loses to Flake, I have to abstain from voting for Senator. I cannot vote for that turncoat SOB. He is such a disappointment. He’s almost NEVER on the voting side of conservative issues. If we’re going to get stuck with a damned Democrat, they should at least wear the label.

No, the urban myth is that there are left-moving states.

You are falling prey to the media megaphone.

In reality, only 25% of the populace is rabidly anti-Trump. The media megaphone makes it appear to be much more. This is what you are falling for.

Votes are a different story, as we saw November 8, 2016.

Quit with the chicken-little stuff. Be confident that we will win in a nationwide “Trump referendum”!

I don’t know all the details here, but Flake must lose the next primary to a better candidate, there is no other option.

99 percent of elected GOP are RINO’s and I refuse to vote for them in general elections like Pat Toomey here in PA.

"Obama lost to Romney by 9% there. Trump won the state by only 3.5%."

You're missing a key point here. AZ has a large Mormon population. Romney maximized that vote, and the jerk did the same for Egg McMuffin - which cost Trump a lot of votes/turnout.

Nope...the Mormon traitors will do everything in their considerable power to stop her, and keep the open borders scam going. The LDS has been disastrous for Arizona politics.

There may truly be what you call Mormon traitors, but I would sure love to know the actual numbers because your premise that they are in league with the open borders scam is totally inconsistent with Mormon Doctrine. IMHO no Mormon with any knowledge of the issues, will vote for McCain or Flake over Kelly Ward. There do appear to be some issues with support of President Trump, but those would primarily be hypocrites and there are plenty of those to go around regardless of denomination.

Election results do not show the mormon guy with even 1% in AZ, so that theory fails.

Trump was so right it has all been rigged for a very long time we didn’t know it because it was all so carefully covered up but when somebody with public name and face recognition, money and the will to fight came on the scene then it was David vs. Goliath Part 2.

Is Flake LDS? I think the LDS leaders are very corporate.

“Flake was born in Snowflake, Arizona...His birth town was named in part for his great-great-grandfather, Mormon pioneer William J. Flake. Flake obtained a B.A. in International Relations and an M.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University. He took a two-year leave of absence to serve as a volunteer Mormon missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Africa in the early 1980s and speaks Afrikaans.”

“PROVO — President Trump deserves the credit for what has become the high point for religious freedom this year, the confirmation of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, said Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, at BYU on Thursday.

However, the president also has created challenges for religious liberty in an already difficult political environment with his travel ban on Muslim-majority countries, Flake said.

“We must stand for religious freedom in this country regardless of the prevailing political winds,” said Flake, who delivered the keynote address at the fourth annual Religious Freedom Review at the Conference Center...”

McFlake will get the LDS vote. He also hates Trump. And he is part of the Cheap Labor Express.

Wow thanks for that. Really informative. It gives you an insight into Flakes mind and probably the LDS establishment. So Flake wants open arms for sharia believer muslims. Either he is a dope, or he is following the wishes of the corporate establishment or the LDS leaders have some pie in the sky hope that they will convert many of the muzzies into becoming LDS.

The establishment is the establishment whether they are political, business or religious. All of the churches have establishment leaders, they are just people who follow the ways of the world. They want the best seats at the table. They want to be important and looked up to and they are very much like the Hollywood crowd at their many award functions, they just love to bask in each others praise.

Most of the Catholic Church, all the Protestant Churches including some Evangelicals want to to be part of the *in crowd*. They can’t resist it. Re: the Catholic Church—just look at Pope Francis. Most of them cannot resist the liberal group hug.

"Election results do not show the mormon guy with even 1% in AZ, so that theory fails."

Election results don't show turnout, and Romney turned out more Mormons in 2012, and turned them off in 2016. It easily accounts for a large percentage of the difference between Romney/Obama and Trump/Hillary results.

Arizona DOES NOT have open primaries. PND and Inependents can CHOOSE which ballot they want to vote on. But Democrats can't.

Kelli Ward can win. If everyone on this website gave her some money. Kelli is a smart woman and she learned a lot from her bid against McCain. She is raising money now and getting support as we speak. If nobody else comes in as a spoiler OF COURSE SHE CAN WIN. So please help her. If she shows a lot of money coming in for her now, it will stop others. She is a true Conservative. She is as tough as she comes. Please donate to her campaign. Be a part of it. I'm going to bring her to this thread. She became a member last election based on my suggestion.

DONATE TO DR. KELLI WARD

President Trump met with 3 potential Flake challengers.
