Florida Rep. Francis Rooney wants US to give up our God given Rights
Breitbart News ^ | 02/17/2018 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 02/18/2018 8:23:42 AM PST by Howie66

On Saturday’s “MSNBC Live,” Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) stated that “some freedoms are going to have to be given up” to ensure unstable people don’t get weapons and that he will agree to act on gun control, but “not necessarily for normal people.” He also expressed uncertainty as to whether people should be allowed to own AR-15s and argued for making schools harder targets. Rooney said, “Well, we are one of the most open societies in the world. I think that each one of these heinous crimes raises the bar and makes us — compels that we, as a nation, rethink where we are on our open society versus what are we willing to do in restricting freedom to make sure that we’re safe and secure. Very unstable situation here, when someone like a person of this demonstrated mental illness, at the local level and even to the FBI, could get ahold of an assault weapon, we’ve got to think about that.”

People are driving two Ton Assault Vehicles on the Nation’s Highways and Byways every minute of every day.

If I or anyone else full of pure Evil wanted to Kill dozens of Children in one fell swoop, all we would need to do is aim our Cars and Trucks at a crowded School Crosswalk.

The very idea that these so called Representatives think they can regulate the deadly combination of Evil and Human Ingenuity is beyond comprehension.

The so called Mentally Ill Murderer planned and executed his Evil. He didn’t snap, he wasn’t possessed with sudden rage, he considered all his options and formulated a plan.

If a Gun wasn’t available to him, I’m sure he could have armed himself with a Rented or Stolen Motor Vehicle (much like ISIS) and pulled off a different horrific act with the same damage done to the Innocent Victims and their Families.

When pure Emotionalism creates Law without a dose of Common Sense reality, the Law is suspect and ends up doing more harm than good.

Anchor Alex Witt also asked, “Is there a reason that you can think of why any private citizen needs to own an AR-15 assault rifle?

And the mendacity continues...but it's MSNBC, so it's the norm.

They don’t want to protect us, but they do want to control us.

Because you can’t just go out and buy your very own M249 SAW??

There is no moral or legal obligation to obey any laws that violate the US Constitution.

It is by force (i.e. the point of a gun) that government makes us obey unconstitutional laws. It is only the fear of an armed citizenry that keeps these wannabe totalitarians even partly in place.

Every one of these anti gun people in congress knows full well that their desire to disarm the population is in no way related to a desire to protect Americans. It is to control us. They know they cannot publicly state their real intentions.

I have no doubt that behind closed doors there were high fives and glee by many of these “representatives of the people” when they heard of the murders. I also do not doubt that more than a few were disappointed that the number of victims was not greater.

Not really, if you think about it. Congress is infested with people that are at least as stupid as Francis is.

Right off the top of my head, I can list 535 reasons why an American Citizen should own at least one AR-15 rifle. Didn’t even break a sweat in doing that, either. There are more.

What kind of a Republican appears on a Communist propaganda network to agree with one of their central fascist planks ?

The kind that deserves to be defeated in the next primary.

No. Not just no, HELL NO! That is exactly the kind of thinking the founding fathers were protecting us from with the Bill of Rights. Not a {expletive} chance. That is a hill I'm ready to die on.

The kind of “republican” who, apparently, sees nothing at all wrong with Voter Fraud, Ballot Tampering, FBI agents carrying on a Coup D’etat, IRS employees targeting Conservative groups who do not support a Marxist Agenda, Illegal Aliens flooding into our country and more.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I’m sure I read that somewhere.

We should, as Americans, get rid of this superstitious fear of guns, and embrace the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment.

EVERY young person in America should be given a familiarization course of study in the feeding, grooming, use and proper respect of hand weapons. The old admonitions about a BB gun, “you’ll get your eye shot out, kid”, carries no weight whatsoever if the youth is INSTRUCTED in the proper manner of carrying, selection of target, framing the target, taking aim, firing the weapon, and accepting responsibility for the consequences of the trajectory of that projectile. The same goes for every caliber of pistol, rifle, shotgun or even a crossbow.

Now, of all the millions of youth who are given this instruction, there shall be some few who, for reasons of either being partially or even totally inept in being able to absorb these lessons, or because they simply cannot or will not focus on the duty to handle the mechanisms in a safe and predictable manner, therefore are to be kept AWAY from firearms of all kinds. This way, we are dealing with a MUCH smaller number of potential abusers, than simply prohibiting use of these sidearms to everybody on a blanket basis.

Otherwise, those who would abuse the use of firearms would be MUCH more difficult to identify, and because total prohibition is impossible to enforce, they will, by some means or another, gravitate to possession, whether legal or not, of the very tools of destruction society most wants them kept away from.

So the FBI gets the blame ? That schools security system failure should be brought to public scrutiny . That kid got on the grounds and entered the system when he should have been prevented from doing so . Because of the policies employed. For starters this school has a so called “gun free zone”. It does have a parking lot officer who may be armed assigned to patrol the multi acre site in a golf cart , but bans guns from the rest of its internal security .

Because of these Ding Bat liberal policies he’s unable to question he avoids other issues. Just how safe and secure are those kids ? There’s a lot of krap that happens in such institutions; Assaults, fights, thefts, books and items stolen, teachers accosted, kids intimidated....

He should have been also calling for examining how student vs student, and student vs teacher altercations, vandalism, and thefts, which are bound to occur were being dealt with.

Because in an educational unit this size it’s pretty clear their security system failed . In a secure system Cruz would have never gotten inside.

Hope any pray “Fhoney Runey” gets primaried away.
