Ummm no ... they will do what they are ordered to ... and that will go as well for the military. Any of them that disobey what the Marxist consider a "lawful" to confiscate firearms from citizens will be stripped of their lively hood, their pensions, and benefits.
The "Posse Comitatus Act" will be either repealed or just ignored ... and remember, the Posse Comitatus Act does not apply to National Guard(NG) troops.
NG troops will be sent from their home states to other states to enforce their confiscation "laws". The idea is that NG troops from Komifornia don't give a crap about people in Alabama or Georgia so they will have no problem killing them ... and visa-versa.
But you may see asymmetric warfare conducted in this country the likes the world has never seen. Look at the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and multiply that by 100.

I worked in local government for nearly 20 years, and I can assure you that most peace officers, especially sheriffs, have no intention of acting like gestapo.
