Me too, graduating in 1966.
I agree with your assessment but still say that society in general and lives particular began to be corrupted around the 1900's when with the rise of automation and industry, the world, including America, began to feel like "We don't really need God anymore."
What took God's place? GOVERNMENT which ascent began slowly with the income tax authorized by Amendment 16 and catapulted by FDR.
The erosion of faith in God and freedom was slow at first. Through WWII, people still believed in America and God. But not strongly enough to stop the federal government from unconstitutionally banning prayer and the Bible schools.
By the 60's the erosion had become a torrent and since then has become a landslide. The 60's Boomers were the the visible product of decades of relatively hidden spiritual and moral decline.
If I enjoy 30 years of retirement, I'll be enjoying myself at 99. As it is, I'm too lazy to retire. Day by day, you know? I'm just waiting ...
FDR and the Greatest Generation implemented social security retirement and most Boomers weren’t voting age when the War on Poverty was declared by dem/kleptocrats, which is where all the SS money went.
Nixon carried 52% of the 18-30 vote in 1972 over McGivern
Woodstock was never a majority of boomers
Not even close
Why dont millennials blame Xers
Their folks
To incur blame I think you have to have had political power for some length of time so as to have had effect on the way things are. I dont think Gen-X qualifies yet.
“We don’t really need God anymore.” Boy I sure agree. The Industrial Revolution allowed the American Dream to be defined in terms of things instead of pre-governmental intangible rights sourced from God.
I get a good laugh when my wife and I go out to dinner and I see some millennial couple, both absorbed in their precious iFags, not speaking to each other at all
Granted, we do live in a tourist destination, so a lot of communication with friends back home is understandable. All the picture taking of meals being served is evidence of that.
But while out on a date together? I get the distinct sense that the online stuff is the real world to them, and sitting with a date is a sideshow or even a distraction.
Poontang has never been a side show or distraction for guys like us has it?
Its the main event
Hell in some ways splittails are everything
Man I wish I was young....easy pickings the pussyassed boys I see with fine looking girls ...

My iPad is just not comparable to a warm excited woman
Snowflakes, ‘nuff said......

The fact is that liberalism has destroyed America, and liberals come from all walks of life.
Well boomers failed to keep an eye on the public school system and now their kids are Democratic Socialists who believe capitalism is evil.
