I got into a fight over immigration over the weekend with my best friend.
He loves hillary but we respect each other views for the most part.
He started ripping me a new a one about Trump and the kids at the boarder calling it the holocaust and trump is the new hitler.
I tried to explain that Clinton signed this into law in 1996 or 1997 and that its being going on every since then. He did not want to hear that. Its all Trumps fault.
He is a very smart guy and i did not know where that came from?
I know the dems are over hyping this but come on now.
Liberals are insane.
My best friend died early last year. She had been like a mother to me for over four decades. We had always agreed to disagree on politics with no problem at all - could even discuss it now and then. But when Obama came along, that changed significantly; it was really not possible to talk politics at all.
She was quite elderly then, so I chalked it up to age. She too was a wonderful person, apart from her politics, from whom I learned a lot about personal character; and I miss her.
Something I recall about my friend - we were once driving through an area that had become almost entirely Hispanic due to immigration, most of it illegal. This was a neighborhood she had known all of her life as a clean, quiet middle-class suburb.
She saw all the low-income Hispanic people walking together or loitering in the streets, and said in shock, “It looks like we’re in a third-world country!”
She showed no realization of the apparent disconnect between her visceral reaction to what she saw and her own political positions.
I think that your friend has simply been taken in by the use of this tactic.

You needed to laugh hysterically and point at your “friend.”
Breathlessly struggling to talk, gasp out “thats Clinton’s law, still being enforced - just like under Obama “ “Oh my God your killing me here -Trump’s policy is to not let them place one foot on American soil.”
Every time your rude “friend” attempts to deny whose policy this is, burst out laughing and pointing. Throw in “and they gave you a degree” if your “friend “has one.
It is important not to allow your so called “friend” to retain any semblance of dignity if they are attempting to assign blame wrongly. This is a general point.
You can’t lose a friend as things stand. They have already chosen to make themself only a “friend.”
All one has to say about this new wave of stupidity is that these immigration policies were established and enforced under Clinton and Obama and if they cared about children they would not support 10,000 babies a day who are aborted.
My wife has a very close friend like your friend. Her friend is so kooky she was marching in the RESIST parades a year ago. She would bring Trump things up during their time together. My wife politely told her to stop doing that or it was over between them. Her friend respected that and has not raised anything political since. My wife knew there was absolutely no way that either of them was going to change the other’s views, so they declared a mutual truce and an “out of bounds” area.
It is exactly the same as with our older daughter who was corrupted by liberal high school and college.

I don’t know all the facts but the dems and media are saying over and over that this started under Trump. If I don’t know all the facts, you can bet the average clown watching CNN and MSNBC don’t.
I liked Ted Cruz’s plan but I would want to make sure that the illegals are held until their hearing. They are too great a flight risk and everyone should know that by now.
I quilt too. I was actually banned from a facebook quilting group that I had been an active member of for years, OVER IMMIGRATION. The group was ostensibly non-political, but apparently there is only one correct reaction to highly politicized and massively ugly quilts made from the discard clothing and other garbage strewn across the Arizona immigrant trails. Needless to say, I did not react in the “acceptable” way.
I am getting really tired of this.

Liberals are still desperately seeking something to derail Trump and are willing to set aside all logic and intellectual honesty (if they even have any) to latch onto the latest outrage. I don’t fault people for their stupidity. I do fault them for their intellectual dishonesty. Especially when it involves bearing false witness. Your friend is not an honest person and is smearing good people because his candidate lost.
Never have a battle of wits with an unarmed person and never call a man a fool barrow from him.
I hope you can find mentally healthy friends. That guy ain’t it.

Its pretty easy for Dems, their partners in the MSM (about all of them) and weak kneed Republicans to keep repeating ‘Stop’ without coming up with a practical solution.
They DON”T want people to know how we got here and why.
There are legal reasons why the kids are not detained with the adults facing charges....and legal Americans facing charges don't get a pass for having kids either.

TDS seems to really turn people into monsters. They just seem to not be able to help themselves. My psychiatrist of all people went on a tirade one session when I told her I supported Trump. Didn’t ask for her opinion and almost wrote her off as my counsellor. With my real facebook account I generally just try to avoid talking with family about politics. My mom and I ended up not talking to my sister’s boyfriend for months after we had an argument. My wife doesn’t like Trump so we just never bring it up.
Yes my sister posted that fake photograph of the kid in jail at the camp. I didn’t need to respond. She must have American friends on his facebook because about three of them ripped her a new one about it. Her final reponse was something like “Well, well, it is still mean”
