Ha, ha. My brother-in-law is a farmer in the mountains of Virginia. About three years ago I was visiting and he put on regular denim overalls, BUT the legs were cut at the calf. I started laughing and asked if that was a "redneck romper." He did not know what I was talking about, but what happened was that he had just bought the overalls and ripped one of the legs, so he just cut both legs off. In his words, "The cattle don't carry if I'm nekid, as long as I feed them and I ain't going to throw away a new pair of overalls."
