I'm not saying it has nothing to do with Trump. I'm saying the meaning of the term is not specifically "kill" or "assassinate".

Then why put it up?
Cause it can still refer to Trump - it's just saying something more like reject/get rid of him, not specifically to kill him.

I used to go to a bar in NYC called Chumley's (Bedford and Barrow). The term "86" began there during prohibition and referred to "86ing" the joint when the cops showed up. The bar was part of an apartment complex and well hidden. They were proud of their history.
Then there was the restaurant that had item #86 on the menu that was never available. Made them, and the term, famous.
I've never heard the term used to kill or murder someone. Not that I would put anything past the POS governor of MI.
