I totally agree. Sammy is Better then David by far. He just has to stop talking about drugs and booze. like Amsterdam or GIVE ME A SCORE OF HEROIN.

OU812 and 5150 was there Albums of Success. F.U.C.K is there rock CD but I didnt find any strength to it when they were trying to badasses of rock.

Yeah, but Hagar's a Republican.

I agree. Sammy was great solo but with VH only mediocre.

But-he's a hell of a guy and a GOP donor, so he can't be that bad...

Augeri is good, very good. I saw Journey twice, once with Perry in '96 and once with Augeri in '00. Perry was tired and worn out by 1996 but the new guy is energetic (granted, a lot younger too).

Hagar was great as a soloist, both on guitar and vocals. The album VOA showcases that he is and always was a true Patriot (and a Republican I might add).

Roth WAS Van Halen (Eddie's an awesome guitarist, and also made the band, but it was the VH/Roth combo that made them great). Roth was pretty crappy on his own, IMHO.

Van Halen still around? I thought the tour was over. This was from like a year and a half ago. Sammy is alright, I liked him better as a solo act though.

I saw him last in concert at Busch stadium in 1977 ( or was it 1976?)!!

It's over-I was just browsing some old threads.

Hagar is way better than Roth as a solo artist. Roth was much better matched to VH though, the chemistry (and music) was much better. Roth solo sucked.

Old thread...I know...but I was listening to Hagar's VOA last night...several songs on that album are very pro-America...not surprising as Hagar's a lifelong Republican.
