I thought that you were calling Hillary Clinton a lesbian comedian.

"Comedian" is the last thing I'd call her (insert joke here).

Your story is just mind-boggling. We certainly will pray for healing.

OMG, HLL...I had no idea your eye problem was that serious! I will pray very hard for your right eye to stabilize. (And I'm going to post all pictures a little larger from now on.) Bless your heart!

More strangeness from the Wacko Jacko family:

Joe and Katherine Jackson have spoken out to defend their son Michael -- for money. The parents of the embattled pop star appeared in an interview, "Our Son Michael Jackson," which was broadcast around the world and on ABC’s "20/20" last week. But a well-placed source tells the Scoop that Joe and Katherine Jackson demanded cash for their participation in the show.

"They’re getting a percentage of the profit from the international sales of the interview," says the insider. "It was produced by a British company called Shine so ABC, for example, had to pay for Shine for the rights and Joe and Katherine will get a percent of that fee."

What’s more, says the insider, the singer’s parents asked that the money be paid to a third party. "They’ve had some financial problems, so they didn’t want the money going directly to them because they don’t want their creditors after it," the source told the Scoop. "It’s all being done through a third person." full story

Dennis Miller, on his right turn...
I'm left on a lot of things. If two gay guys want to get married, I could care less.

If a nut case from overseas wants to blow up their wedding, that's when I'm right. (Sept. 11) was a big thing for me. I was saying to liberal America, "Well, what are you offering?" And they said, "Well, we're not going to protect you, and we want some more money." That didn't interest me.

What an incredible story you've told about your eyes. I had no idea you were suffering this way.

I will pray for a positive outcome.

You are in my prayers for healing and for guidance for your doctors. Are you seeing a specialist and getting more opinions?

My thoughts and prayers are with you right now. I'm hoping the medications will get you to the point that an operation can be performed and you can at least get some of your vision back.

Hillary in Miami yesterday. Ol' Crusty rides again.

Just how crazy is Dennis Kucinich?

Kucinich won applause Tuesday as he lambasted Bush's foreign policy in Iraq. The Democratic candidate recited a litany of what he said were misrepresentations by the Bush administration to justify U.S. military action. "We were told there was an imminent threat, [Um, no we weren't] we were told there were weapons of mass destruction, that the subtext of the invasion was that Iraq had something to do with 9-11. It did not,'' Kucinich said." [Except for training Mohammed Atta?] (We were told) that it was al Qaeda's role in 9/11; which it did not. [?? What an unintelligible sentence] That it was connected to the anthrax attack; which it was not. [Anthrax?] That it was tied to purchase of uranium in Niger; which it was not.

"That (Iraq) posed an immediate threat to the country; which it did not. [I think we already covered this point] That it had the intention of attacking the United States; which it did not. That it had the capability of attacking the United States; which it did not. [When were we told this?]

"The Bible says you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,'' he said. "This is a moment when we need to be free of the doctrines which promote fear in this country.''
full story, which includes his spirited defense of homosexual marriage.

Wesley Pruden writes:

The Democratic dilemma is that the dwarfs and the angry activists who make the early primary decisions can't be pleased by the turn of events. The brighter the prospects for success in Iraq, the dimmer the prospects for throwing George W. out of the White House. The more they grouse and grumble now, the more the eventual nominee will pay later. So the dwarfs have to act pleased with those lumps of coal in their stockings. It looks like a Merry Christmas for the rest of us. link to article

Speaking of Hillary, who's exhibiting the same disconnect with reality demonstrated by Denny Kucinich:

MIAMI - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused the Bush administration Tuesday of nullifying the success of her husband's administration and urged party activists to retake the White House next year. "I cannot even imagine four years of a second term of this administration, with no accountability and no election at the end," Clinton, D-N.Y., said. ....

"I shouldn't take it personally. Because what (the Bush) administration was attempting to do was turn back the progress of the entire 20th century. They were not just after Bill Clinton - they wanted to undo Jimmy Carter, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Harry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt," Clinton said. "They were on their way to Teddy Roosevelt. It was a bipartisan right-wing extreme agenda," she said.

I assume that "success" includes x42's efforts against terrorism.

Holy cow! If ever there was a justified case for malpractice, you've got it, honey. Prayers your way for total healing. I just thought you were busy working.

I'm thankful that you found a doctor that figured it out!

"What do you think the big stories of 2004 will be?"

"The firing of either Rumsfeld or Cheney. Big scandals, I believe, will start to pour out of the Bush administration as more and more of the circle start to turn."

Thank you for your kind words. I don't care about money or a lawsuit ( even though I have started the ball rolling) but I would like my sight back.

Just thank your lucky stars that you aren't BigWaveBetty. She has been listening to my daily bitching about this for 6 months. I do miss my freedom since I am mostly housebound because there are only a couple of times when my sight is well enough to drive. It fluctuates by the hour. For instance, right now I can barely see the computer screen, but last night at 3am I could see my television clearly.

It's those clear moments that give me hope that I may be able to pull through this.
