"Comedian" is the last thing I'd call her (insert joke here).
Your story is just mind-boggling. We certainly will pray for healing.
Joe and Katherine Jackson have spoken out to defend their son Michael -- for money. The parents of the embattled pop star appeared in an interview, "Our Son Michael Jackson," which was broadcast around the world and on ABCs "20/20" last week. But a well-placed source tells the Scoop that Joe and Katherine Jackson demanded cash for their participation in the show.
"Theyre getting a percentage of the profit from the international sales of the interview," says the insider. "It was produced by a British company called Shine so ABC, for example, had to pay for Shine for the rights and Joe and Katherine will get a percent of that fee."
Whats more, says the insider, the singers parents asked that the money be paid to a third party. "Theyve had some financial problems, so they didnt want the money going directly to them because they dont want their creditors after it," the source told the Scoop. "Its all being done through a third person." full story
I'm left on a lot of things. If two gay guys want to get married, I could care less.If a nut case from overseas wants to blow up their wedding, that's when I'm right. (Sept. 11) was a big thing for me. I was saying to liberal America, "Well, what are you offering?" And they said, "Well, we're not going to protect you, and we want some more money." That didn't interest me.
Prayers for a better outcome than your Dr. predicts.
Just how crazy is Dennis Kucinich?
Kucinich won applause Tuesday as he lambasted Bush's foreign policy in Iraq. The Democratic candidate recited a litany of what he said were misrepresentations by the Bush administration to justify U.S. military action. "We were told there was an imminent threat, [Um, no we weren't] we were told there were weapons of mass destruction, that the subtext of the invasion was that Iraq had something to do with 9-11. It did not,'' Kucinich said." [Except for training Mohammed Atta?] (We were told) that it was al Qaeda's role in 9/11; which it did not. [?? What an unintelligible sentence] That it was connected to the anthrax attack; which it was not. [Anthrax?] That it was tied to purchase of uranium in Niger; which it was not.
"That (Iraq) posed an immediate threat to the country; which it did not. [I think we already covered this point] That it had the intention of attacking the United States; which it did not. That it had the capability of attacking the United States; which it did not. [When were we told this?]
"The Bible says you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,'' he said. "This is a moment when we need to be free of the doctrines which promote fear in this country.''

The Democratic dilemma is that the dwarfs and the angry activists who make the early primary decisions can't be pleased by the turn of events. The brighter the prospects for success in Iraq, the dimmer the prospects for throwing George W. out of the White House. The more they grouse and grumble now, the more the eventual nominee will pay later. So the dwarfs have to act pleased with those lumps of coal in their stockings. It looks like a Merry Christmas for the rest of us. link to article
Speaking of Hillary, who's exhibiting the same disconnect with reality demonstrated by Denny Kucinich:
MIAMI - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused the Bush administration Tuesday of nullifying the success of her husband's administration and urged party activists to retake the White House next year. "I cannot even imagine four years of a second term of this administration, with no accountability and no election at the end," Clinton, D-N.Y., said. ....
"I shouldn't take it personally. Because what (the Bush) administration was attempting to do was turn back the progress of the entire 20th century. They were not just after Bill Clinton - they wanted to undo Jimmy Carter, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Harry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt," Clinton said. "They were on their way to Teddy Roosevelt. It was a bipartisan right-wing extreme agenda," she said.
I assume that "success" includes x42's efforts against terrorism.
"What do you think the big stories of 2004 will be?"
"The firing of either Rumsfeld or Cheney. Big scandals, I believe, will start to pour out of the Bush administration as more and more of the circle start to turn."
